Sorry for posting on old topic.
Can i ask you something guys, i got a read garnish and want to install it on mine.
Whats the best way to do it? Do lil holes and plug it in ? Glow ?
How is it connected to your cars guys?

12v switched power, to the tail lights should get you there.

assuming you have a base model ... drilling might be required as you mentioned

Mine is a mk3 with a mk2 bootlid and mk1 bootlid wiring lol, was all plug and play but I did have to make a connection for the glow light from memory
Tap into a tail light feed as above :)

Would depend on which bootlid you have currently.

The mk1 garnish will fit a mk1/mk2 GT bootlid. It would require quite a severe amount of work to make it fit a mk3 bootlid for example.

Im going to do the GT look like the first picture. All im warried about is to leave the right distance between the holes.
And thats it ??? Pins will go in and "lock" ? Will not need any glue or something ?

Does your current bootlid have the recess?

If so, it should be a case of either using the current holes or drilling new ones.

If not, it won't sit correctly.
