has any1 on here done driving instructor training? or know any1 thats done it? have they gone on to make a succesful career out of it. i been to an interview 2day and passed it so now i just gta think hard about whether i wna go 4 it. its a growing industry and RED are the main UK driving school apparently.

i just wna be sure im not going down a bad path here. but surely all the thousands of people that do it must like it and earn good incomes?

commitment isnt a problem as i know u have to be 100percent up for doing it which i am 2bh, i think i could do it. just dnt wna fall down a slippery slope as the training costs 4grand. u have a written guaruntee tho that you must pass b4 they give up on u. otherwise u get a refund. so if i pay it im guarunteed to be a qualified driving instructor. and atm i have a very low income, cannot anywhere near afford to move out, and have no career whatsoever. so these are my reasons for giving this a try or thinking bout it at least. just thought id see if any1s got any advice or experiences good or bad

opinions on this greatly appreciated tho
nice one.

I was going to look in to this, but never knew it was 4G for the trainning with Red but if gauntee'd a pass it's not all that bad!

A mate of mine done the test with a driving school, saved up and bought his own car and went self employed, he makes pretty good money now and works hours convient for him so win win really

What's the quickest you can do it in?

The advantage is even if down the line you want a career change you can still use this to supplement your income in the evenings etc.

Hmm I assume it was on something like 'watch dog' ? I'd probably steer clear then and do it off your own back (if you want to go the self employed route?)

I passed my test with a bloke from the factory i work at, he came to work with me until he got through his last few tests then went self employed. I was his first pass. Then he got a shit load of people from my work going with him
