RSR Panhard Rod fitted.... but what to do with the washers.

Hello fellow people,

I've fitted my RSR panhard rod, adjusted it (patients, trial & error) and it's spot on. But..... There are two large washers which came off the drivers side when I disassembled the old rod. The RSR has a thicker attachment than the OEM. Are the washers on for friction or bulking reasons? I wonder if the RSR's design allows you to dispose of these washers? I fitted with the washers still attached but it seems too thick so I think I might remove.

What do think? Or what do you know?

Your views are greatly appreciated and obviously repped.

Cheers Dan,

My mate (VW mechanic) and I where talking about it last night, we kind of came to the conclusion that I don't really need them. But I thought I would see what peoples experiences where.

Rep points for you, but they won't show up as from me (im too fresh).

Take it easy man.

im sure when mine was fitted i didnt have washers fitted

Dan, thanks for the help with the RSR by the way I got one from Nick in the end.

Someone told me rep points aren't noticeable if I give them before I make 50 posts. So I made a list to put rep points on for those who helped once I get over 50 posts.

So not forgotten.
