Anyone on here running a straight through exhaust on their gt or glanza turbo, I'm thinking of getting one made up for my ep71 as it sounds like a civic (not happy) but not sure if it would sound good or just retarded loud

Sounds brill aslong as its a turbo straight through.turbo acts as a silencer and thats why u can get away with a strwight through pipe with no silencers at all.

Yea was thinking of going with a 2.5" pipe all the way back to a 2" shotgun type exit as the ep71 turbo had a double exit as standard so there's a big space in the bumper anyway

I've been thinking doing the same but I read somewhere around here that it'd ruin the CT9 seals because of lack of back pressure and CT9s

ready to have your ears bleed..? :D hehe
i run a straight-pipe and it only gets uncomfortable after 4k revs.. otherwise you'll live.. :)

I have 2.75 inch all the way from Zisco, as well as Zisco Downpipe and Zisco Manifold - one of the best setup on the market in my opinion! I bit too loud for me but it's a personal preference -)

I used to have an HKS one before, which came with the car from Japan, but Zisco gives more power at the full boost/high RPM, however the HKS wasn't as loud....

I cant believe somebody said cant run a straight through on ct9 coz lack of back pressure.lol

It's a common misconception, however in reality you don't need a massive exhaust if you only run low boost... Well I'm not a professional in that, but I hope somebody on the forum can explain further if the bigger exhaust do any harm to the car at all? And what I can't understand why on earth would the oil seals be affected???

the cat will catch all the oily smoke, when you decat it, nothing stops it so it comes straight out the back.

For how long have you been running this setup? Any turbo seals problem? Also would you please post a video of how does it sound till rev limit?
Thanx

2 yrs, got the car like that, turbo shit the bed as i got the car and running its replacement ever since but that was due more to the clown who sold me the car using 4 diff turbos to make 1 so he could sell me the car.
