td04 or Hybrid????

right guys i cant decide weather to go td04 or hybrid turbo cause i have been told you can get bout 210bhp from a hybrid turbo if mapped properly by a good tuner and only bout an extra 10-15 bhp from a td04 so is it really worth it???? should i just stick with hybrid?? or go td04???

TD04 will cost more as you need to change a lot more stuff. You will see more than 15bhp over a Hybrid I'm sure though...

TD04 better suited to a forged block running higher boost so you can make the most out of what the TD04 has to offer.

CT9 hybrid, lots of low end power/mid and top end if setup well but it wont produce as much BHP later up the revs when the TD04 would be at full swing.

IMO, CT9 hybrid for an unforged block, TD04 for a forged block if you can cope with the lack of bottom end power. I wouldnt change my hybrid for anything.

okay think i will run hybrid then :) anyone give any advice as to what one to go for??? as i know there a few different ones??

Right now the best hybrid to go for is the td12 from what I've seen from the dyno results.

ive got a huge T3/T4 T04E .50ar on a 4e so if u think a td04 has a bad bottom end then think about mine lol...shit ass heapsa lag...but wait till im on boost >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>:)

15bhp more.lol thats not true really.
a td04 isnt in its effiecency zone till a bar mate.
so running less then that is pointless really.
but i had both mate and at one bar the td04 was a good 20bhp more then a hybrid.
and td04 isnt that laggy as people make out, but it has more power top end.

but the biggest difference is torque, a td04 produces alot more.
and trust me u have a hybrid and see a forged td04 at 1.2bar or more, and u think u should have gone that route.

so my advice mate, go out in a hybrid, then a td04 and then make ur decision.

its down to personal preference.

other things to consider

hybrids can be short-lived- its still a tiny ct9 bearing, cant take nearly as much abuse as a td04

because a hybrid costs much more than a used td04 it is no more costly to go td04.

if you ever forge it you have a turbo kit ready to go.

ive never seen one hybrid that impressed me, most make about 190 brake

come to a meet mate, and then im sure u have a go in the td04 and even bigger turbo'd ones.

like i said itrs down to personal preference,

but a td04 once u have mani and downpipe, is cheaper to replace, and give more power top end.
