still only doing a 2.1 60ft time so 4wd didnt help too much that day. last time rolling roaded was 262 but think i had about ten extra on the day. it was at straightliners over here in enniskillen.

Different track for a start bud.

275BHP on a 4WD starlet is good mate. I mean was still spinning a bit after 60ft lol! I got a high 2.2 60ft on my run while spinning and got 13.2 so was just a matter of the worst set up at the time. With just bigger better tires i know for a fact i would have dropped the time easy 12.7-12.8. Unfortunately never got to run when i had better ones on. The car was there to put down low to mid 12's all day. And this was only @1 bar.

All i say is bring on next year March time and we should start putting down some serious times on a much better set up thinking more about chassis/tires set up.

Aze_b was running 12s, will have to see if I can do the same with his turbo!

yup i was with him when he he did it. Best time was a 12.8 with slicks. Apparently the slicks weren't all that good though lol

so to run 11s or 12s in a starlet with a good setup what sort of power would it have to throw out:confused:these lads are throwing down 11s easy enough

A said mate, i really dont take over countries time into consideration AT ALL!!! Sorry if that comes across narrow minded but i think ive explained myself and justified my point enough.

IN UK, with good set up + a genuine 300WHP you may break into the 11's. And thats on a very well set up car. Aze was on apparently 289WHP. Even though im a bit skeptical on that WHP figure.

It also depends on torque and turbo choice. When the boost comes/how your car revs through/ when it makes power etc etc.

The power i have given is a guideline that i believe.

I was running around 300 @fly on 1 bar boost. This put down an easy genuine 250WHP judging by the way it went.

With 550WHP that im hoping to achieve im not a fool, im hoping to start with high 11's until i can can get the optimum set up. However im not building my car for the drag strip, im building for fun and passion. Some track days, drag days and some road use lol

dan aze was dyno'd at tdi HUB dyno, on a rr day where loads of cars got what they had before, his was a easy low sec 12 as if you can rememeber his first run was a 12.9 and he missed 4th gear and backed of crossing the line at 96-7 mph,

as i said to you the honda's with big bhp can do the times as they have little torque meaning little wheel spin, you have to remember your 2.0 with 550whp will have close to 500ft lol

good point about Azes, i forgot about that. His 60ft was the same as mine but 12.8 sec pass. But at a different strip.... Could have had 30-40WHP more then mine. If he brought 60ft down a bit he will be low 12.

Thinking about it there wasnt really anything to have doubts about the power it made, i mean it was DAM quick.

These Antigua boys run silly times... Then again they are running in excess of 300WHP. that one guy was running 360WHP!! But their strips are are up and down and all over lol. You dont know whats true or not.

still get plenty of spin with little torque, mines over 300ft and it spins until 4th. :homer: probably do a good 1/4 if i pull off in 4th lol

tis good fun mate, although annoyingly i got used to the power already and find myself wanting more :homer: so im constantly talking myself out of 'bigger turbo' and 'more boost' :haha: its never ending?

Well my little input about drag racing is that the td06 is a good turbo, BUT to get into the efficiency range or greddy turbos u need to be as close as possible to 2.2bar (yes u read correctly) .. 2.2bar is the peak of most (96%) of greddy turbos.. only a few have a different efficiency..

One other point id like to make is that from the videos iv seen of most uk/ire/scot drag racing is that there is alot you do wrong down the strip, especially during tyre warmup & launching.. not to mention most of your cars are setup for the road/circuit.. not seen many decent drag builds.. or at least drag sus/tyre setups..
