well today while i was sitting in the car waiting for the rain to stop so i could work i was thinking about my plans for the car i just got it mapped for 1 bar on td04 and currently it set me back in and around 4 grand ..

i am now 210 bhp approx (getting r/r sat) and next move for more power is obviously forged this will cost 2500 approx including new map and then i would prob be about 260bhp,to gain 50bhp thats a lot of money is it not ?
so i was thinking will i hold off in the power department for a while and get it handling really well like arbs ,lsd ,cage ,braces etc as if i forge it prob would nt be very safe to drive with so much power when im lacking in the handling but would be so much fun ..

if i go forged i wont be able to buy the handling mods for probably over a year possibly two as i have alot of things coming up like
insurance a wedding,tax etc ..
any opinions ?? what would you do

Personally for me it would be to go forged but i can see were your coming from, Theres not much point in a fast road car if you cant contoll and stop it so your maybe beter of getting the handling sorted out for now.

maybe look out for a secondhand forged engine and then get the important susspension mods second hand as they come up on here ?

great roads i dont think so lol , ya i am enjoying the car now but this is the next major step for me and want to think it through i will be starting after christmas and im in two minds really as its all i can do with the car next year so want to make the right decision ya know ..

if it were me id go for big brakes and decent suspension set up .

i was in my mates mk6 rs2000 now ok it wasnt the fastest thing in the world but it had leda coilovers,330mm ap racing 6 pots and a atb diff and im being honest nothing ive sat in could corner or brake like it .

Mate just enjoy your car for the time being.

How are you going to pay for the handling and braking mods mate?
I mean all in one go or bit at a time?

Because if its bit at a time, then you could probably start getting bits for your forged build every couple months, spread out the payments a little

i have upgraded brakes ... i would say it will be just january and febuary that i would be able to get parts as i have a wedding start of march and im going to vegas in june along with taxing and general upkeep of the car so its either one or the other lol

this man is mad haha the only good road we have in cork is the motorway that bypasses fermoy other dan that ure car b missing chunks daily haha
i think what u were saying ta me tday bout the handling sounded perfect after being in the car with ya yesterday i think its more than fast enuff awhile

what brakes do you have ? tbh mate you can never have good enuff brakes.

you seem pretty adamant that you want to go down the braces route cos u have mentioned it before a few times ,just go for it no point in thinking about it and take it from there.

ur car drives mint pal get er forged up and more boost once u get it up to 1.5 bar there is a big big diffrence

I would keep as it is for now (power wise) and buy some handling upgrades. Im sure you wont get bored on 210bhp for now mate. :)

a lot of different opinions lol think if get an lad for christmas and maybe second hand rear arb save then for january and febuary and try and either buy a forged lump or let my friend build it ,sounds like a plan :rockon::rockon:

get use to the power bro...boost is ADDICTIVE.

also theres no point in have a fast car if u cant stop fast and turn fast...you will end up writing it off or worse badly injured.

right made up my mind ,im getting coilovers for christmas then in jan and feb front and rear arbs ,lsd and anti lift kit , forged is going on hold for the time being you never know i might come into a few pound lol but for now its handling that gets the vote over power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

your car is already more than i could ever want iin a glanza!

buy a twincam-> clutch, acelerator flick of the steering wheel->:drive: then the janspeed-> boom boom boom boom:haha:
