is it possable to set the launch control to come on using a dip switch? and ive wired in the tps(field harness) should i remove it before installing into car or is it ok to run it? i dont want to run lauch control daily only for 1/4mile so will that cause a problem for 1st gear or up to a certain set speed?

it will not cos probs at all u dont wire the tps in on ep82s m/t

Congrats on getting it to work. I just thought I would through in my 2 cents. I have a Toyota Tercel with a 93 4efte motor. I hooked up the ultimat and adjusted the settings to I believe 5000rpm and the (check the ign adjust box) and then set the next field at 7200 rpm. I then retarded the timing to -8.0 and the TPS to 90%. The VS I set to 2. If you set it to 20 you'll be launch controlling until you go past 20 mph lol.
that will make ur car not start check out my post later on about geting the lc working

any one know how to raise the rev limit to 8000rpm on the ep82 gt using emu?

Hi buddy,

so its pretty simple, u need to 1st setup your car's fuel map fully, then after datalog the fuel cut which occurs at rev cut (as on our ecu the fuel not spark is cut).. after datalogging read carefully the duty cylcle % at 7100 rpms & in the rev limiter setting enter the value, keep it untill 7500rpms, that should have u sorted, dont forget to put in the tps % value as well, id say around 100% but it could vary slightly.. now once that is done go to the ignition cut rpm (where u have launch control) & set it to 8000rpms, tick the adj box & ur sorted

your engine is forged im presuming , if its not i dont reccomend raising the rpm limiter, otherwise if its forged then rev happily away

what can the stock valve springs take? im forged but 5e so higer rpm mean a faster piston speed for me, so ill see where my curve starts dropping...

hybrid, thanks man. but.....hoping u can clear this up

so in the rev limit map , im inputing 7500 in the limit section? not 8000?
there is a T.P value to input 0-10%
and a wait time 0-5ms

what to input for these 2 settings? i have the 2 pin ecu 89661-10040 by the way M/T. 3 wire tps.

and why do you have to use the ignition setting to 8000 rpm? can't you use the revlimit 'limit' value @8000rpm one time?

thanks:)

in all honesty i wouldnt rev over 7000rpms on a 5e with the oem valve springs as u have a much longer piston travel which will in turn put more stress on the valve springs..

on the parameters section (in the ign tab) input the desired rev limit ie in ur case 8000rpm & click the adj box.

iirc the tp selection is between 0~100% no? check ur tp state when datalogging & input the value u see at fuel cut(when oem rpm limiter kicks in).. ull have to experiment on the wait time bro, as it depends on your rev speed.. ull have to calculate it based on your datalogging as well.

on the rev limit map you need to select a rev point before the oem rpm limit say 7100rpms & a point after rev limit say 7400rpms.. (just an example) so that u can be sure that you have eliminated oem rev cut.

Remember that this is to be done AFTER datalogging & after you have set & tuned ur fuelling else ull have to change it every time you alter your fuel map.

hope that helps.

Well I post on here telling you guys that the way I set my launch control up works. Then two days later I go to do a launch control and nothing happens??? WTF???:confused:

check ur tps parameters/wireing if its an ep91

It's an EP82. I entered the parameters like you. I did 5000k then (checked ign adj box) then entered 7200k ign cut. Then did 90% tps and vsp 2. I hit the gas and the car just revs up no cut at all.

I then tried doing the reverse throttle it worked but after I shut the car off it wouldn't start until I switched it back to normal. So I dont know what to do.

So i read the threath complete!

I also have a ep82 2 plug ecu in my 4efte corolla!

And i wired the TPS up and i got readings!

But only 0.0-0,1V off throttle, 5V on full throttle!

But i don't unterstand how to raise the rev limit can some one post that up from the greddy software?

right i finnaly got my emanage in and ive started to tune, ive had to start doing it via the injector control rather than the a/f target map as i cant seem tog et it to work?

the waster temp is within the range i ave put "55-95" and ive put the throttle as 0% even thought he tps wire isnt connected... it just dosnt give a steady idle or seem to hit the target i have set when i try accelarating - it just drops to a silly high afr like 18 so ive adjusted it manually so im dring round rich atm lol anyone shed some light?

im looking at a map done here, think it off aidan gs car,

under a/f target in the parameter settings, you have affected map, select "not used"

water temp 80-95
throttle position 90%
start time 120
feedback cycle 200
feddback amount 0.5

if it make any difference thats on a 4e wit 550 injectors.

and yeah i think no one has got the target AFR working right, it seems to just go nuts!
injector adjustment map is where you can alter the fuelling.

go into parameter setting and under IGN tab you'll find the IGN cut settings.

the second row called IGN cut rpm enter the desired rev limit and hit apply.

i think thats right someone else can correct me.

Running 550 injectors and cant seem to get a better afr at idle then 10.2-10.5. Everytime I try to adjust the lag time the cars dies. I need help.

thats odd , its a new one and u dont need the adapter u should be able to take away fuel from the table besides the lag times ,
are you wired correctly for add/remove and jumpers right ?
