Glad you're happy mate, she sure is a monster
As for dyno figures, I'm a realist and have said before that ALL chassis dyno figures need to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Our fwhp figures generally come out very good, did a power run on a bone stock 350z which is 276fwhp and we made 273 and 274 over three runs. We also dyno'd a 360bhp car and then took it to a local dyno dynamics dyno that same morning, and made within 2% of the fwhp figure on the DD. We also have our dyno calibrated every three months.
Throughout the mapping sessions with Dave, every fwhp figure at various boost levels made sense.
We've had starlets make within a few whp of TDis rototest too, but when run in an overdriven gear (ie 5th) we have proved that it throws out the calculation between wheel and flywheel horsepower. Next time Maha are in I'll ask exactly how it is all calculated, but all I know is that our fwhp figures are certainly respectable and repeatable. It's never going to be spot on with a chassis dyno, which is why we have an engine dyno too
Still planning on a Rototest hub dyno, but due to the euro:sterling rate, they have effectively gone up £50k in 6 months to £150k
Main thing is, Dave, and all the other Starlet customers, are happy - that's all I'm after
To me the dyno is simply a device for tuning cars in safety
Now, I'm off for a cold one - it's been another busy day at the office :haha:
