Hi all, I know it's an old one so I've done my homework - a lot of searching on the site, and found that most people recommend an EP82 to have 29/31 psi in the front and 26/29psi in the rear on 195 50 15 standard tyres for standard car.

My car has been stripped out (weight I think around 860-70kg) and has quite a stiff setup roll bars, lowered with Koni adjustables and Whiteline stuff. It's running on Toyo T1S all round. I checked the pressures just after buying it, the rears had 11-14psi and fronts 27. Sounded far too low to me, even dangerous, so I've set it to 27 front and 25 rear. Does that sound right for a lighter than std car?
It's running an FMIC, CT9 on higher boost (1bar) so isn't standard power.

I would increase them 3-4 psi on the track right? so I've only had the car a few weeks, new to GTs sorry!

More than likely need to decrease them for the track, they will heat up and you will have close to 40 psi in them then. Run them at the pressures you have now, if the tyres feel like they are rolling over on the road, add a few psi.

:) thanks John, ok it was set up for track before I bought it, so that might explain the low pressures on the rear. On the road, I'm only getting 22mpg so thought that would be one cause!
It drove ok on the road this morning, I'll do as you say, then lower them 3-4 psi for the track.

Thanks all, I was wondering if the fact it is lighter than std would mean reducing the pressures, I think it would, but now I def know to do that on the track.
27/25 seems to run fine so far - 2 days, much better than they were. Should get near 340km out of this tank!

Yeah you would have to reduce the pressure's if the cars lighter to get the same amount of grip. Although removing weight from the front is quite hard, and even stripping the back end out doesn't save that much weight as the rear seats and plastics weigh next to nothing anyway.

Re removing weight, I guess you're right Adam, anyway I got 32mpg out of the last tank, so it's improved, but I will put to 32/28 and see what happens. Thanks all.
