unusual smoke from exhaust after manifold and decat installed

generally people gain a few psi from adding a decat! Did you use new gaskets when fitting them..ie manifold to block gasket and decat to mani gasket, you may have a slight blow which would explain the drop in psi, if you had a blow you would hear it on idle, kind of sounds like a tractor, any weird noises like that? p.s as mentioned previously...allow a decent warm up..ie stay off boost for the first 10 mins of driving and a decent cool down..stay off boost for the last 10 mins of driving;)

no bother lad.. just keep checking your oil.. oh and i changed my oil last week and it stopped the blue smoke.. think the fact when oil gets old it gets thinner so can come out passed the seals easier... not proven but i think so....

well i just got it mate but i had look in the filler cap and it looked a bit shitty so i will flush and change the oil tomorrow, sounds like a plan.

yeah all new gaskets mate, just had a look and 2 bolts from the de-cat have come off!! that would sot the drop in boost then. good shout bud lol i will get some spring washers tomorrow then lol, u would think they would supply wit eh? owell.. cheers mate

What I did with mine is put two nuts on each bolt...they tighten each other acting like a locknut but you can still get them off easily but they wont just loosen randomly;)
