This is what I said it sounds as if where he has done the loom change over something silly has been missed

yeah somthing like that the engine loom brings a power feed inside and car the interior loom connects and puts a power feed back out to the engine bay where its needed ie lights starter..

on the off chance what ecu is he using as the N/A one wont do ,,

lad if i wasnt in ireland i'd come down and get it running for you i work with a lad that breaks glanza's i know where every plug earth goes just by looking at a loom on the ground as i take them out everyday

I've checked all the fuses guyts and I've checked battrery connections should I unplug interior loom and start again? I need a ep91 interior wiring diagram preferably a kids drawing one ime shite with electreics lol

On the gt there is a main wire that goes to the fuse box under the dash that sends power everywhere. Are they the same on the glanza

yeah you best bet is too take the interior loom out and start again basically place the loom over the dash and start over double check every connections that it fits properly

EP91's aren't my thing, but if you look at the under dash fuse box there should be a fat white wire going into the bottom somewhere (it may be traced i.e. white/blue, white/red, white/black etc...). Do you have battery voltage at this wire with the ignition OFF?

You where all right in the end lol! Firstly it had an afternarket alarm in the loom so I went about taking the loom out and chopping that out carefully luckily it was spliced in so was easy to take out then I set about putting the loom back ( all this will be in the how to guide we did on it all in 3days :))Texx is a genius his post got me onto seeing if the power was in the drivers side of the cabin I knew it was in the engine bay as I put a multimeter on the liver battery and earthed it onto the engine to see if that was ok and it was so I unplugged the ecu and attached the earth to stereo on the battery then tested the ecu plugs all was fine but as I moved over to the drivers side it was very weak in the fuse box and it was confusing as the lights on the dash kept flicking on then off? so I tested the wire texx said and it was still weak so it was getting weaker as it travelled through the cabin turned out that there's an earth on both the passenger side and drivers footwell also the big white plug in the fusebox must have slightly come out when I was testing the fuses so after connecting the earths and plugging the big white plug securely into the engine fusebox also tightening the positive feed off the battery because the small circle wasn't connecting to the large feed it turns out the small circle on the positive feed is interior power!! So ime mostly putting it down to that but all was fine and it turned over all small problems but put together were a nightmare now I just need what I mentioned in the above post :) anyone available so I can look in there engine bay at what ime missing give me a txt dudes on 07971885290 will be greatly appreciated :)

glad you got it sorted anyways mate would a large picture help of where the boost pipes go somthing like this

Thanks for that mate helped a little I've looked at hundreds of pictures but they just don't have all the angles I need there's nothing like looking at the real thing :) one more thing aswell guys on top of the ignition barrel on the n,a there is a key transponder it looks like a little black box with a brown wire coming out of it ( this will all be in the write up anyway) but on the an loom it has a 5pin plug with 3 wires into it it's near the electric windows switch and plugs into a switch saying power, manual, which ime still not sure what it does lol! But after we plugged it in things started to come together it may have been a big coincidence before we knew where it plugged into it looked like the plug that went into the key transponder but this plug had 5 wires on it and on the na it only had 3? So as we were sure this was causing the problem we decided to try and splice the wires in as we now know that it isn't for that ime not surprised but the glanza doesn't have a key transponder on top of the barell we then found the plug started to earth the few interior loom in foot wells then positive feed on battery, we knew there was power into the interior as we unplugged the ecu and tested it, then put into the fusebox on the wire texx said and it was ok ,in the end all started to come together :) now we just need a nice engi e bay to look at and see what boost pipes we need, thanks for all your help guys we just have 3 more problems the boost pipes need sorting out a cant find lambda or knock sensor plug on loom and she is the glanza throttle cable shorter than the an because it's very loose? Also she does turn over and there's fuel and a spark but it just coughs really and doesn't fire up properly could this be due to boost pipes, lambda and knock sensor?

probably has somthing to do with the knock sensor the odd starting if you looks at the loom on the injectors the knock sensor wiring runs in along with them its a blue covered wire,,

as for the key transponder wiring if its not a chipped key and the engine starts its not needed there more of a nuisance than anything just tape the wires up

see the blue pipes over near the powersteering bottle there all the boost pipes dont mind the ones over near the far side ther vacum pipes

We also need to do the vacuum pipes aswell as the boost pipes thanks for the picture mate I'll attach the knock sensor tomorrow then thanks dude its just all over at the moment I can't find anywhere to mount the coil pack and a few other little bits

gtpower

ah right well atleast you making progress on it sure can you not mount the coil pack to the original location

sure are mate weve had to take a break over christmas aswell and i was working 16 hour shifts aswell otherwise ime pretty sure we would of had it done in 4days and ime no mechasnic just know the very basics if i had to do it5 again i know the problem now so i think we could do it in 2-3 days :) but anyway the plug on the knock sensor was cut off so ime going to wire a new plug on it tonight and plug it in will it be ok wiring a new plug on the end of it? then try to sort all the millions of boost and vac hoses fit the exhaust then hopefully fire her up BIG QUESTION IS THE GLANZA THROTTLE CABLE SHORTER THAN THE N,A? also i cant mount the coil in the normal place because on the n,a the fuel filter is there and i cant fit the coil over it or under it?

the knock sensor has two wires one on the outside of the covering and one on the inside these have to be soldered seperately they cant touch the na and glanza cable should be the same lenght as the throttle bodies are similar

Use a small push on connector rather than solder the wire to the knock sensor pin, the sensor will not like the heat transfer from the iron. Only worry about the inside wire if you are doing it close to the sensor, the outer is a screen to prevent interference in the signal.

Cheers guys that's great ok few more little problems when I turn right the headlights go off? And the left indicator simple is stuck on the clocks but the indicators don't work at all? Any help on these problems? Also the hi lo solenoid must have been took out on this engine previously it's a gt engine btw! Because the bracket thing with the 3 boost pipes plugged onto it on the left hand side of engine near cambelt cover isn't there? If anybody can come and have a look it will be much appreciated guys just to tell me what's missing

The lights and indicator problem is possibly due to the steering wheel and stalks rather than the wiring.

Ok guys looks like I've found the problem I've just took the leads out one by one while turning it over and there's no spark on any of them? I've tried to earth the igniter best I can even scraped the paint off the surrounding area but there's nothing?
