Hi guyz,

long time I didnt log in , wondering if someone have information about Toyota Vitz RS 1.5 Turbo Year 2006.

I've actually order a Vitz Rs 1.5 Turbo from Japan but the agent who bought the car for me is unable to confirm me if there is a turbo fitted in it or not.

Anyone has spec for Vitz RS 1.5 ( Japanese Version ) ?

Thanks
Mick.

Just cause its a vitz rs, doesn't mean its a turbo cause most vitz rs are just NA. The turbo are special editions made by TRD. Just tell your agent to open the bonnet and you'll see a big intercooler on top of the engine...

Not all Vitz RS are turbo! There are the 1.3 RS version non Turbo and the 1.5 RS Turbo. The latest are more uncommon and are pretty fast compared to the 1.3 version!(They compare to a Glanza very good) Just make sure and clear what you will get mate, if its the 1.5 Turbo version, its great ;)

Think you got it wrong mate, all Vitz RS are 1.5 VVTI. There are however special editions which are turbo'd. My mate has a non turbo RS...

This is what your turbo engine bay should look like...

They are really rare and this one is the only one I ever seen...

No, not all Vitz RS are 1.5 vvti sry mate! They were produced in 1.3 (non Turbo) too (most common). In Malta only 2 or 3 are of a 1.5 vvti Turbo version, there are many RS which are 1.3 non Turbo both in 2/4 door versions!

My uncle had the same problem!!
He imported a vitz rs from japan, half way through then when it was on its way to ireland he realised the same thing, if it was a turbo'd or not.

It was to late then so he just oped for the best, it turned out it was the 1.5 vvti turbo edition!!

well fingers crossed lol :)

should be a nice rare little beast if it is.

But whats the difference between the 1.5 turbo and the 1.5 n/a engine? I.e any difference in internals? or other bits and peices?

The Japanese Vitz RS (European Yaris T-Sport) was introduced in 2001 and was powered by a 1.5 L (108 hp) engine, shared with the Echo, Vios, as well as the Scion xA. The 1.5 L T Sport was marketed as 'more fun to drive' than the base models because of a sportier suspension and extra power compared to the 1.3 L (90 hp) model. Later, the Vitz RS was modified by TRD (Toyota Racing Developments), and was fitted with a turbo-charger. A limited run was produced with a power output of around 120 kW (163 PS/161 bhp) and a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of just 7 seconds. Note that there is also a 1.3L JDM Vitz RS with the 2nz-fe engine which shares brakes, bodykit, headlights, suspension and interior with the 1.5L vitz RS

Ah alright, just I've never seen 1.3 RS before. There's loads of Vitz RS and yaris RS in Ireland and they're all 1.5 NA. Only one 1.5 turbo that I know of...
