water in exhaust

hi all,

when i start the gt after its been parked for a few hours white smoke comes from the exhaust. the tip of the exhaust has water on it. when i thrash it it disappears and no smoke. dont think its valve stem because the smoke would be blue. has anyone got any idea's. brand new turbo fitted recently.

Is there loads of white smoke?

Could it be a slight crack in the block? As you say it goes away when thrashed...

yeah straight through from turbo. i was thinking condensation but i wouldn't think it has been cold enough. no loss of water so i don't think theres a crack in the block. is there any places to check first?.

my car does alot of smoke on start up too untill it gets warmed up.. some exhaust systems condensate big time when cooling down.. these engines run very rich from cold untill they are warm aswell

slight smoke & condensation

i'd say don sweat it at all. sounds totally normal.. these symptoms usually clear out as soon as the engine hits optimum operational temp.
