What was the best car you have owned?

VVC Metro FTMFW! Used to have a 25 GTi, they are pretty pokey, but in a metro that must have been insane! MG F engine mounts IIRC?

Hell yeah ;)

It wasnt actually a VVC, was a solid cam with vvc inlet (and more). RR'd at 155bhp and beat pulsars, a cammed stripped redtop corsa etc etc at the strip

Standard engine mounts too, drops straight in :)

Nice, ditched the VVC and just went straight cams, what profile? 52mm TB and all the rest of it, my GTi was RR'd at 152bhp, but weighed hell of alot more than that lol.

My mate has just dropped a forged 1.8 Turbo K series in his 25, We are just waiting to get it mapped thenf ire it up! was going to go T-series but they are just too damn heavy! so built the 1.8k T!

And i was sure you had to use an engine mount of a MGF or a gearbox mount or something, (did you use the PG1?)

Was only using piper 633 cams, could have probably used lairier cams as it was such a light car but it pulled so well from any revs. Had the 56mm TB on mine.

I'd love to have an experiment with the 1.8t, somone on the metro forum (in sig) has one in a metro running management etc, meant to go very well

Another couple on there have b16s in them, and one guy is just finishing up putting a rover v8 in the back of his :haha:

a rover v8, in a metro?

its a bloody god engine the 1.8t, once only thing is the pistons are made of chocolate so cant take alot of boost. so need to go forged, my mate has a gt30 stuck on his, its going to fly when it is mapped!

My first car was a 1.4 vdub polo with the full top open-air sun roof which was mental in the sunshine!

Then I had my mr2 n/a until last week. Had some nice goodies on it like veilside spoiler, omp steering wheel and blue-flame de-cat system. Then some lorry driver decided to hit it whilst it was parked outside my work and write it off for me!!

Currently driving a bog standard 1995 n reg 1.2 corsa merit, which is about 4 different shades of red lol. Hoping to save like mad and get a nice clean gt turbo in the new year though :)

i used to drive this as my first proper car, so gutted it ended as it did, loved driving it handled like a go kart, spent alot of money on it when the engine blew but didn't have the time to carry on. will get another mini one day, people who haven't driven one don't know know what they are missing!
