what am i testing texx with the multimeter?
The map would be ok I'd guess. It is not possible for the map to disappear unless physical damage was done.
Maybe the ECU was left open to UV sunlight or it got water in it. Or somebody was trying to clone it and messed up!

how do u erase the fault codes? also do i stick the multimeter into the back of the plug on the ecu and disconnect the injector plug?

They won't repair it if the security seals have been broken. They will reload a fresh program on it and charge you the same price for a new one. You just need to call or email them with the serial number on the plaque to confirm its history.you can send them back to mines to be remapped lad why not get in contact get them to fix it and remap it for your spec that you are running it would be a win win situation
Yes you could send it back, but its then the same as normal, there map will cover the basic but it still wont be optimal for your own setup. They would have to geuss how your car will run.
wello if that the case then this one is useless coz the seals are broke might aswell by another one who got a mines ecu that actually works?

As for damage MINE'S uses an ultra-violet protected chip. If exposed to sunlight it will erase/mess up the maps on the chip.
It could be possible the previous user of the ecu has selected and used the wrong impedence injectors and burnt the injector drivers in the ecu.
yeah but if you gave the full workings of what boost, fuel pressure cams ect ect im sure they could get it alot better than just getting one of these blindly and sticking one in?
any figures lad of getting this done?
Have you tested the injector driver circuits? If the rev counter moves when the engine is being cranked, it's a good indication that the ECU is still alive. May just be a couple of blown transistors or resistors causing the issue.
