Your engine probably helps your brakes as well due to the extra weight over the front wheels on the brakes, helps force them tyres into the ground :)

You know what ive heard nick.... That the 3s is an aluminum block..... Ive heard it is of a very similar weight as the 4E... Dont quote me on this one though.

Nah its a cast block mate, they have a thin wall between 2 of the cylinders which is the whole reason there isn't many high powered 3s motors out there, struggle to find a good block but there defo made from cast. and they weight alot lol remember trying to move my bro's haha :p

ahh fair enough mate lol... I do remember lifting mine into my van, took a few of us to lift it, felt really heavy but that was everything including all ancillaries/Box etc......

Just looked it up and found the weight... They say it weighs 133KG. which is the same as teh 1600cc CVH engine found in the old XR2..... Im not sure on the 4E weight so cant compare..... I really cant see much being in it though at all. When my engine was transfered into my car on the stock suspension during the build it didnt even move.. Wasn't any lower at all and all you need to do to lower it was to sit on the bonnet and an average person say weighs 65-70KG, and moved down quite alot.....

also the handling is by far messed up... Feels so light the car, such precise steering, no understeer etc... Doesnt feel really any different around the corners etc... And a big weight difference would change the characteristics of the car a hell of alot.

These are just points that im making, nothing is ground, unless youve got a spec of the 4E weight....?

Not doubting ya mate, maybe your right the weight might not be much different cause tbh its only a block with pistons and rods slightly bigger :p

Still would love to own your front brake setup but dont have the money for it plus fancy trying some different routes.

lol, yeah i mean thats the way ive always thought of it... slightly bigger pistons, slightly bigger block... cant be that much more surly.... I mean the 3S weighs in at the same as the 1600cc CVH lump in the old school XR2 and RST and they are only 8valve single cam....

Ahhh i dunno, doesnt really matter, just interesting to know some facts about ya own car :p

Yeah your better off with a different cheaper route... If i had the car now looking for a brake set up i dont think i could bring myself to spending that sort of money on brakes knowing there are cheaper options that would probably work very well on the roads too.....
