hi guys, my friend just bought a yaris TS ( vitz rs in japan?) N/A 105 bhp, and he d like to put a complete 4EFTE instead. Is it worth it? is it bolt on? and as for the loom?

i searched on the net, and did not find good info. Thank you

Was asked if I fancied doing this for a local fella.. Had to decline as it was a bit outside my abilities. There's at least one custom engine mount involved, the wiring is a headache and the exhaust is in the wrong place.

I can see the appeal but to me a Yaris -specific turbo/super charger kit would be far easier.

I'll let you know what I think when I see how that local guy got on. I sent him to Secret Steve so it'll re-appear at some point. :)

I appreciate it jay.... i heard that some yaris came with 4efe inside so i thought dropping the engine was not a problem! Thanks

Wiring I went with standalone
Shafts they fit but are a tight fit engine should be installe with this in mind regarding positioning
Totall custom mount on drivers side

It suprising but some stuff looks like its ment to be there lol

why is there custom mounts needed?
why not use the toyota mounts for a 4efe yaris?
or is the mount on the engine different on the yaris 4efe?

Wont be a straight swap buddy. Wiring will be allot different and as stated engine mounts need custom mounting. In a tercel or would be a straight swap

Toyota Vitz.
if it has been done, then it can be done :)
As for the wiring, ur better off using a standalone ecu. even an e-manage will do the job right.

Doubt the Yaris loom would have the right sensor plugs in the right position for a 4EFTE engine so some engine bay wiring will be required.
