i used 2 own a fiesta zetec s and they are underestimated in my opinion!
the published bhp figure is onli 105. but this was to keep them low insurance (group 8). but many were known to be runnin 110-115 out ov the box.
mine had:
4-2-1 manifold
decat
4" backbox
K&N
and a bluefin superchip
was pushing 130bhp!
and it was pretty quick but the GT is in a different class!
but they are quicker than VTR's in standard form especially at top end seen as the VTR is 8v.
Also depends alot on drivers.

Thats a bit of a contradiction.. nothing wrong with Saxo's but they break all the time.

Saxo's are fantastic little cars to be fair. Yes, they break all the time, but then, they're cheap as chips to fix. A mate of mine has a 106 Rallye with a Saxo VTS lump in it. He's done 4 gearboxes so far, cost him £50 each time to fix. Now, a Starlet gearbox very, very rarely breaks, but how much is it going to cost to fix if it does?

I had a Zetec S for a couple of months before i got the glanza i also had 2 mates with zetec S's, i got a standard glanza and the power difference woz alot, my 2 mates in there zetec S's were long behind on straights but embarrased my glanza stock suspension when it came to corners.

all i can say from experience is that i absolutly kill my mates zs's and my other mates vtr's and to add vtr's are french there bound to break!!!!!!

I bet you i would fly away into the sunset against a VTR/zetec S... in fact i bet i would still blow into the sunset if the zetec S had 3 zetec S engines powering it
