lol sorry rory has obv studied the compressor charts and knows the exact specs and ar's of afp's hybrids.. Standard td04's are obv no good are they rory.. Thats why so many members use them ! So if a td04 is no good on a 4e what chance do me and dan and others have who have decent sized turbo's..
What makes it even funnier is that you ran/ run a td04 .

so wat about td05 14g wat sort of boost do people run on them. i have 1 on a 4e and it comes on only 8 psi mind at 4500. also i herd its hard to keep the inlet temps down on these turbos if u up the boost more thn say a td04 from a wrx is this true??

Yes i do run a TD04 and it performs well.

A hybrid "normally" means bigger than stock.
Now a TD04 in my opinion is perfect for the 4E, now if you go for a hybrid option then you will lag like hell. and to me that pointless, unless you are an out and out drag racer.
Going by Dyno charts from the 5e setups, they are nothing until around 4.5k to 5k. The only place for that is the drags (as AZE_b proved with the first to go into the 12s) Now a 4E with a smmaller displacement will have more lag...

cant reli c the last 1 it made 186 on the first run but a bit lean thn 176 to rich thn 180
only got a fpr atm got a emanage blue but just got to find the time to get it fitted and mapped
it also made 152.7 lbft of tourque
does this sound about rite???

Im not being funny but i cant see any 4e set up pulling past Azes car, it has mightly acceleration, One of the only cars i know would say may have been up my 3sgte starlets arse...
Rory, thats like saying if you use a hybrid CT9, it'll be crap! AFAIK, the AF unit uses the same exhaust turbine but with a slightly larger compressor wheel anda few other tweeks, to keep pretty much the stock td04 spool time, but to flow upto 320bhp+. Now surely its gotta be better than a bigass td05 for lag, bit of an in between turbo?
Not having a go or anything, just reading what has been said, and what is written on the AFP website. At the end of the day the subaru TD04 is designed for a 2.0 too and works well.
