Done a diagnostic the other day as my engine management light is on and the car is running pritty crappy.the code was 52 so i tried to rewire the knock sensor as it was a bad join so i solderd the wire and disconneted the battery for over a hour and still the light is on and the car is running...

its the rspec one mate.i think it could be the actuator thats pumped tbh.but i have tryed to screw the boost controller right in and the completely out and still stays at the same boost.

are you talking about a eletronic one mate?mines is just the basic manuel one under the bonnet.

i bought a timing gun the other day but aint sure if i am using it correctly do i point it at the top of the belt of the top pully if that makes sense lol

Right my car is starting to really piss me off.Firstly got my engine from daz with the renault 5 gt turbo with the starlet lump.Anyway got the engine in set everything up got it motd etc etc.But the engine management light keeps coming on so done the whole diagnostic test thing and it came up...

I think its the plug that goes into the sensor i need mate as the green wire has broke away and i cant solder it back again.
