I've have taken my Auto up close to 180 KPH, is this typical for an Auto Box? Also it seems to go all the way to redline and stay strong, it's not like the typical Auto which usually shifts as soon as you stay in redline. Do I most likely have something done to the ECU?

They will redline in every gear except overdrive. Very handy in a straight line huh? :)

I read that the auto's will do 80mph in second gear is this true? If so why are they slower to accelerate than the manuals, is it because of the extra weight?

A safer tune and gentler gearing is often blamed, in my experience I'd say the launch makes a difference too. Stock on stock there isn't as much difference as expected.

tbh i dont find mine that slow until after 80ish then it runs out of puff in its last gear. I'm sure some wiser mods etc will improve this.

as for launch, i love launching in the auto.

Would i be right in saying the 0-60 time of a stock auto ep82 is 8.1 seconds or is it slightly faster?

Not sure matey :) but i can tell ya the stock quartermile time is 16.3 in stock auto with full of weight lol :)

What time are you hoping for with the new parts fitted and without the weight?
Are you getting the custom piping made for a front mount or are you going the rx7(easier) route?

not a clue tbh, as this car was suppose stay standard lol

i think i will go for custom pipework for a fmic in the future if im going to change the intercooler might as well move it too :)

but the exhaust alone made such a difference cant wait get downpipe on too. and sort the bad boost creep out. then i have emanage to go on and turn the boost up and get rid of fuel cut should be nippy ish but the quarter times will never be good coz of the 60ft times on the auto. they are bad.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of power it makes once it's mapped. You should be well into the 15s anyway.

How bad are the 60ft times?

I cant wait for my car to arrive, I'm really looking forward to it:).

60ft times wee like 2.8 / 2.9 and the manual k24 gt does 2.260ft times! apparantly there is a theory that every 0.1sec off your 60ft time is like 0.2secs off your actual quartermile time.

You can always look into getting the auto box modified but i dont know how nice/horrid its going to be using as an everyday car if this is done.

Towards the end of the year will probably stick the blitz k24 turbo off the manual gt onto the auto and see how she goes. I very interested in getting her on the rollers on the 26th to see what A/F ratios the auto runs standard. Hopefully my external wastegate set up should be on in time for it :)

Hey Tom i'm probably making about 150-152 hp atm getting straight through exhaust fitted next week i'm getting a fmic for my glanza in a few weeks one of the pipes might need to be modified to fit past the auto dipstick I reckon the rx7 tmic has made a difference has more response and is ice cold on the top of the intercooler

Yes, you should have some room to manoveur Kelly - it's set quite safe in stock form.

If it's running rich as standard would it be safe to fit a fuel cut defender and turn the boost up to say 13-14psi without fitting a rrfpr?

Never fit a fcd without installing a fpr as it will run lean and blow up your motor the fuel cut is there for safety so you don't blow the engine remove it and goodbye engine
