unlucky mate looks like you put alot of effort into your glanza i had the same thing happen to me same day i bought mine but luckly it was just a knock no bad damage

good luck with the insurance company!!

still waiting to hear from my insurance, ill probably keep the same car and repair it myself. i know that it can be repaired but the cost to have it done at a garage would be very high. its all labour intensive really, parts wouldnt cost that much as most of the metal work can be pulled out and repainted.

thats almost exaactly the same as what happened to me mate. it's utterly fucking rediculous, did you call the police? i wish i had cos i'm 99% sure the guy was doing something he shouldnt have done i.e on the phone. it really annoys me when i hear about peoples careless driving.

when the guy crashed into me he said "sorry mate i didnt see you stop". he must have been a fecking flid, cos on a gt there is a total of 5 brake lights, and my car was bright white, there was no way he could miss it.

what was the guys excuse?

i feel really sorry for u dude. when the insurance pay out, dont accept any less than 4k, if u do you would be a mug.

also try and take as much stuff off the car you can, (performance wise) just in case they dont let you buy the car back.

If i was u, get all ur aftermarket parts replaced with stock!

U will save alot of money if insurance offers a shit payout

well if the insurance to write my car off i wont let them take it untill i have absolutly everything off it, i will try and get as much stock and aftermarket stuff off it as possible, im hoping they dont write it off tho

its coming back!!! ok the insurance finally came out to see the car, apperently book value of it is £2900 so i was sure it was going to be a write off. they got back to me and said i had to go and get quotes on it. cheapest i got was £2600 plus vat, that works out more than the value of the car. defo write off? no they are going to repair it. it goes in on the 31st. not long till i get her back now!!

my mates saxo got shunted recently and the quotes for repair were around £300, the insurance sent him out a cheque for £600 to get it repaired, wtf?!! lol

I really hope you got compensation for the whiplash. My dad had a bit of a sore neck for a day after someone went into the back of him and he got over a grand compensation for his injuries!

Sorry to hear about the accident man, glad you and your mate are ok and good news about the insurance :p Go for whiplash claim and get a few quid in your pocket for your injuries.

hi mate know how u feel got my glanza wrote off before and got new 1. i was allowed to get stuff off my car also make sure the insurence asser knows ur car is a glanza and not a starlet. when i lost myn there told me it was worth £700 so i told him to do his homework and got payed out full amount what i insurered my car for.
