ok then. mine feels pretty solid!? considering how much older it is its easily as good as a car nearly 10 years newer.

why even bother compare the 2 cars?
i mean come on, there completely different.
they come from different generations, and have different engine sizes.
i dont feel all of what them corsa boy's were strictly fair, and the same goes for some of the comments on this page.
if they were both standard they would probably be the same upto 70, then the extra cc's will help the corsa power past.
no point in talking about modded motors, as what you do to the starlet can be done to the vauxhall.

so now were comparing a new top of the range 1.6 turbo against a 10year old + 1.3 turbo lmao. Anyway who cares its the driver that makes the race on a strip I've seen people running td04's doing worse drag times than a standard ct9 with a bar of boost lol. So take your mate to the pod and see what they do if he wins then get yours modified to the same state as his and then try again. Its too easy to say you'll win or he'll win get it to the strip and find out. Then when you kick his ass join that forum and gloat lol.
what sort of mods will i need?
thing is hes planning a front mounted intercooler and stage3 remap
reckons he will nearly be touching 250bhp and 250nm then?

you will need a turbo like td04 or similar to compete.
even with 180hp it wont match a 250hp car even if its a bit heavier i very much doubt

you will need a td04 kit, some 330cc injectors, and an emanage, running roughly 1bar boost, and tune it to the best it can be.
failing that you will need to forge your engine and run more boost.
but seriously dude, give it up.
there is a lot of difference between the 2 cars, age and technology mainly.

that forum certainly wasnt fair to glanzas, can't believe they think a 106gti is faster, i mean ffs ep's are over 0.5secs quicker to 60. But yeh stock vs stock the vxr is quicker but on the other hand most ep's aren't standard and most vxr's are. And tuning wise you can push both cars to the limit of fwd.

alot depends on the driver neway.
if he was fearless aka stupid and didnt care about his car im sure he was pushing it very hard,
