No the celica hares the same 131mm spacing so they bolt staright on.

I stand corrected. :)

i've got gt4 setup like teds and they work brilliantly fit behind 15 aswel:-

calipers-celica gt4 st185 earlier model
disks -got mine from ebay off uprated corolla ones(265x22mm grooved and dimpled)
spacers-3mm

Roughly, how much did that setup cost you, if you don't mind me asking?

The downside to this is that even stock cast calipers are pretty heavy, those from an S14 are going to be heavier still.

With Wilwood Power/Midilites they weigh only a couple of lbs. Depends how mad you are about weight saving, bigger discs will also be more rotational weight ontop.

Wilwoods flex under heavy application though, giving sloppy pedal feel. At least that's what I was told by my local brake specialist, but he's a Brembo dealer so there could be some favouritism there! :homer:

Naaah. It'll be down to the mount it's attached to if the calipers flex (If you use spacers between the mount and the caliper it should be kept minimal). Neither will it affect pedal feel, thats down to piston size and master cylinder capacity.

He's just 'bremoing' it up :p

The callipers in Dave's kit are REAL Willwoods........ Its just the discs and brackets that are 3G.
Picture for clarification.

x2 its only brakets and disc's made by 3g, that is the best brakes i ever had in my car, if you step on the brakes very hard you can feel the back of the car lifting up

so, st185 gt4 front disks, calipers and brackets just bolt up to the up82 hub??
what about those awesome (but heavy) disks and calipers from the st205...will they bolt on??? i ask because i have 18" wheels that have been specified to allow for big brakes, so im preferrably looking for bigger disks than 260/280. i actually have a load of st185 parts including the front hub assembly :p

do hi spec make a kit? what are those d2 ones like?

Just in regards to the ST185 upgrade, where abouts does the spacer fit?
And where can they be sourced, also what material is the spacer made from?
