Bought the gt pal but also been offered a ek9. Didnt think much of the ek9 until i took it for a test drive and just fell in love with it. You dont know what your missing until u've driven one. They a dream to drive.

Altezzas have 210 hp standard and aren't that fast that one was modded from japan so it would have been faster than a stock altezza, no it was a dc2

I would only put a filter and decat on the ek9.............

What do i need to do? To get around 180bhp from the starlet then?

no your wrong, ek9 is way better than a starlet to drive,
you obviously never been in one driven correctly, loads of people on the ek9 forum have converted from well modified starlets to a ek9 and never looked back,
narrow minded poeple like you really piss me off, your dont understand, this was a good thread but has been ruined!

yes correct, its not fast really, but it wasn't designed to be, thats what people dont seem to understand, if honda had wanted them to be for out right speed they would of probably resorted to forced induction.... but they didn't, ek9's and dc2's were devoloped on track, and with out experienceing a real type r in the right hands i dont think people can understand,

lol sorry mate but I was referring to montanajr's post :) Now you have me thinking "is Chris montanajr's real name?!?!" hehe

Course it is :p

Anyhoo, just been to see my brother and been out in his 2007 CTR and oh my god, what a complete let down! I was expecting something somewhat entertaining to happen when VTEC kicked in (y0!) but all that really happens is a slight change in exhaust note and thats about it.

He said he absolutely hated driving it and much preferred his GT4 as the CTR lacked torque (obviously) and he felt you had to rev the crap outta it in order for it to go anywhere and even when he did it was by no means quick! He himself said my Starbo felt much quicker and I agree! What is the 0-60 time on the '07 CTR? It cannot be quicker than a Starlet, if so, its a filthy lie!

My first car was a 1993 gt, then i gota a eg6 civic.

Now im importing another gt.
That says it all i tink!:):)

all that says to me is you have owned the poor mans civic,so no it does not say it all,
ep3's fn2's atr's eg6 ek4's are all lesser models, not so well devoloped, just hotted up family cars
to really experience a honda you need to go on a track(things with corners), with a real driver in a ek9/dc2/dc5/fd2..... these are the real ones, well developed, tight responsive meant for driving cars.
