You can also get a different insert for the ssqv for a deeper sound instead of high pitched :)

Running without a BOV>

Kinda getting sick of my SSQV and been thinking of running no BOV, when people say this though do they actually take BOV clean off the car or just disconnect the vac hose going from the BOV to the inlet mani? Does it make a difference which way ya do it?

Thanks.

i take the bov totally off. and then just block that vac pipe....thats what everyone does basically.

Block the vac pipe with what? a cable tie or something? I'm thinking of just disconnecting the hose from the BOV and blocking it with a cable tie or something, would that do any damage?

Same here just get off the ssqv lol. The air needs to re circulate even though i am running without bov

Stick a bolt in the vac hose and cable tie it good! When i had mine i took the dump valve out completly and blocked the pipe. A lot of people say dont do it but the same amount of poeple have done it with no ill effect. As long as your not running huge amounts of boost you will be fine.

when you take the bov off you need to block both pipes that went into the bov. the boost pipe coming from the intercooler needs to be completely blocked off (sealed so no air can escape) and the vacuum pipe from the inlet manifold needs to be blocked with a screw or something.,

So block the vac line with a screw, is tat what your sayin?

Thanks for the quick replies lads!

Yeah depending on the size off the bolt and fitment just screwing in is sufficient enough. Its only a vacumme pipe you aint running huge boost through it.
