yeah i built the engine myself. just gotta sort the handling side now. already got the coilovers, need anti roll bars and panhard rod now.

the turbo has more in it aswell,paul said could haverun 1.8bar and would have easily got at least 320bhp. did spin up a tiny but on the dyno, didnt wanna be greedy :p 300bhp in a car this light is more than enough anyway

hehe! very nicely done man! seems like the td04 is pumpin in hardcore with the new internals! congrats! :D glad u kept it 4e, after all the 4e is almost a square engine so power output is always much more linear! well done!

btw who did u get this turbo done from??

had the turbo built at my old work place (turbo developments). i was origanaly going to bore it out and have the td04 comp and turbine from a volvo td04 fitted, as they are just a tad smaller than the td05, but wasnt too fussed about lag so went with the td05. was a good choice though

As I mentioned in the PM great results Dan, the torque is very impressive for a turbo car very rarely matched or even pipped at this level. HRF were running near 400@ fly and there torque wasn't dis-similar to yours.

What CR are you running Dan, those pistons have quite a dish. Looks like around 10cc from here would be interesting to know what CR your running as it sounds like there is plenty of boost left.

Keep up the good work, also are they Rota grids nice and sleepy :)

And whats the piston to bore clearance.

Did you build it and map it yourself?
Any power graphs? Interesting to see the torque higher than BHP, is it mapped to 1.6 bar then tailing off towards the limiter?

Also, what AFR's do you run?

pistons are wiseco. they are quite low comp pistons, with a zep 1.2 mm headgasket. the ported and polished head has obviously helped bring the torque up, and ive made the boost pipes 51mm all the way around to help with torque/lag.

not sure on afr yet, ive got an AEM wideband gauge on the way so we shall see. it runs 1.6bar and doesnt really drop off at all, to be honest its quite tricky trying to look at the avcr once its on boost lol i was planning on running external wastegate but the hks actuator seems to be doing a good job of maintaining steady boost so wil leave it for now.

cheers tobes, yeah they are rota grids, were originally white but i got fed up with having to clean them everyday!

cheers dude, spent 2 days polishing it when i first got her, gets polished and waxed once a month at least. you can see where all my money goes at the end of the month lol

This car rocks! Awesome result,, my engine is almost identical part wise so good news!, can i ask how much your turbo cost to be hybridised? Pm me if you wish..
