yes the hks makes the whole rev range underfuel

Wow so in reality, a FCD is actually pretty bad for the engine, didn't realise it was to that extent! How does a Greddy or JAM Boost Cut Controller differ to the HKS FCD then?

FCD's are responsible for a lot of dead 4EFTE's. As with everything you intend bolting to your engine, research what it does before installing it.

Tell him to adjust the FCD first. That may sort it depending on your plans.

The jam and greddy only make it runnin lean when you go by fuel cut which is 0.9 i think, ill be corrected if am wrong lol

Yes for the JAM, never tested a Greddy one myself.

Yep, the HKS will affect the signal from the MAP through the whole rev range. This sounds like your culprit.

how much they lower the voltage.

basically the lower the number the more it will run lean.

so i propose you get the tuner to play about with it on different settings.

i reckon if you put it on setting 8/9 it will sort out your problems.

(im not saying for you to put it on that setting, get your tuner to do it so he can check it)

i spent 2.5k keeping it on the road in a year. just got it sorted and it got written off lol, im kinda thinking im not meant to have a starlet, specially with my recent luck but i will not be detered

by any chance might your fuel filter or fuel lines be clogged??...........ever had it changed?

sounds like u are not getting fuel ,,,as if something is either not firing right (injectors signal) or u have a restriction in your fuel line

at 70 psi your pump, fuel lines, injecotrs will not be feeling very good......they might all soon have damage

um had the fuel fitler changed in december when the head gasket was done and the fuel is gettin to injecters ok but it just doesent seem to get through them.Injecters were tested sat n there ok am gunna do what sx turbo said n have the fcd played around with on the rollers and if that doesent wrk mite have it taken off n boost put dwn.

sx unlucky m8 dnt think im suposed to have 1 either since ive had it had head gasket go now these problems had to get an alarm fitted and the price of tyres n services aswell think ive spent bout £1800 in four months its a joke ive got a nice car but cnt afford to drive it lol
