I used Mobil ESP 5w30 oil and put I think if my memory serves me correctly about 4.3 litres in roughly.

I I never did anyhing to the engine, the previous owner put a Hks adjustable actuator and a after market exhaust that is knockin its tits off on the axel coz its a 3inch and iv been told by a specialist that makes exhausts that the best size for a standard one is about 2.5inch, someone can correct me if that statement is wrong or not.

No, not a fresh import, been in the country since 23rd November 2006 to be exact :)

Correct me if im wrong but 4.3 litres is waaaay to much oil.....everytime i do an oil and filter change it only takes 2.8litres

Rods build up stress and have to let go when it gets too much :D
If your crank journal is blue where the broken rod is then you are looking at oil starvation on the journal.

^ possible the rods gone throo the block an caught the edge of a waterway hence the coolant in the oil...or could have been another fault seen as these dont have water cooling oil coolers HG would have been the only other thing to cause coolant in the oil....well all that i can think of atm lol

well best is to post a picture of your crankshaft journals.
it does NOT sound like the HG blown and oil and water mixed and made a rod pop.

Check the oil return hose, they do get hard overtime and can split. Failing that I would strip the engine down, check the crank journals see what kind of condition they are in.

what boost were you running? its got a HKS actutor so i guess its been played around with.
Iv got got a clue what boost it was running coz it didn't have a boost gauge of anything. I'm not sure if that has but I'm guessing that maybe more than likely it has been.

Yes the oil return pipe is/was hard but I didn't see any splits in it, tbh I didn't realy take much notice of if apart from removing it n that's it really.
I'll strip the engine down tomorra n try to have a look at them if I can, tbh I don't realy think my mum n dad would appreciate engine and car bits all over the front of the house tho haha

Was there ever any evidence of the car loosing coolant? Its possible water got into the cylinders and caused it to "hydraulic". This can mean the end to rods in a short time.

For the rod to actually break but means it could well have been damaged a while ago, and its took some time for the damage to actually result in a total failure.

Actually, now you come to mention it i changed the coolant a few months back n i had to re-top it up once but i thought that it didnt have enough coolant in when i re-filled it :s
