RIGHT

The glanza and gt are basically the same in performance.

YES the gt is more lightweight but little do you gt fanboys know that the glanza has an extra blade in the turbo to bring it up to speed. Thus the glanza has a slightly better turbo.

You can arque till your blue in the face but untill you've driven both you can't really say. Iv owned both a gt and a glanza and to be honest, i like them both. They both have their own little cool bits, the gt is retro and looks kinda different but in a good way. The glanza is stylish and more modern.

"6/18/2003 THE TALE OF THE TAPE
BestMOTORing March 1996 offers some insight into the EP91. This was their first test of the EP91 as it had just debuted in Japan. It was put up against the old model EP82.

This really wasn't a direct numbers comparison for which I was hoping, but it still proved a good watch. It is amazing to see your vehicle in the hands of a professional. The Starlet GlanzaV (EP91) vs. the Starlet GT Turbo is a straight lap battle. They waste no time pushing both cars onto the circuit, though not Tsukuba, for a three-lap battle. Both cars looked to be matched but by the second lap its obvious which car has the better chassis.

The EP91 corners and brakes with impunity choosing its lines at will verses the old EP. Straight-line speed becomes a non-issue as the EP91 goes deeper into the corners and brakes later due to better balance. The EP now has the dynamics suited to its power. Unfortunately Nakaya gives his review of the car in Japanese, what else. So until I get what he said translated I really won't know his opinions, but it looks good. We've got a few more tapes to discuss and they are wild, trust me. My words don't do this stuff justice."

So to all you EP82fanboy's bitching about this....

Suck a fat one. :p

Not to mention you look like you're poor if you own a gt.

glanza all the way!! :)

i like the more "modern" look of the glanza. powerwise... im sure no one will keep it standard so we dont care if it was faster brand new :)

I was gonna say that hardcoreep has that video and that the glanza is quicker on the track and thats a fact. On the road you're not really gonna notice any difference....

My Glanza is faster than any GT

Oh sorry Im not Deano!!
I have a Glanza and do prefer it to a GT but if I was going to make a purely track car it would be a GT. The GT looks quite dated now imo where as the Glanza still looks Micra Cool!!
All starlets are equal its just each to there own 6 of one etc etc
Its intresting to see that standard v standard a glanza is faster round a track than a GT. I would have thought the gt would be quicker because of the boost restriction and being heavier.

They might have removed the boost restriction mate, even if not we're taking fractions of seconds here between the two. An improved chassis will more than make up for that

The boost restriction wouldn't slow you down at all, and when would you be in 1st than hardly ever in second. Infact the boost restriction makes the glanza 1% quicker off the line than any gt.
