i have just payed up, and i think it is a really good deal, i dont post that much but the knowledge on here is priceless! simple things like meeting other people who are happy to help you wit your problems and offer you advice makes it worth it. yes you dont have to pay to get these things, but in my eyes payin up is a way of giving back and keeping the site goin. cos lets face it, where would most of us be without this place?? probably still scratchin our heads and wonderin why we are still gettin boost creep :p

Being the Chairman of the MSC, I deal with regular threads similiar to this. Bottom line is, there will always be people who want something for free no matter what you do. There will always be petty arguments over avatars and signatures for those that can't use them.

In my opinion I think TGTT should become a fully established car club, have a proper membership scheme in place with discounts, club stickers, membership cards etc etc, ask a little more then it does already for a yearly fee, say £20.00 for example. It has MASSIVE potential.

By doing so, the club TGTT can introduce more discounts, offer more speicalist mechandise, raise funds for key events, JAE for example and generally give more back to members that financially support it. By generating more funds gives the potential to expand and ultimately make it better for the members. If the MSC can offer 20 substantial discounts to it's members, then I'm sure TGTT could offer the same and much more!

The admin of TGTT should NOT have to pay for the site out of there own pocket and asking for a mere £6.00 a year is hardly going to break someones wallet is it?!?! Even though the site currently does not have the costs of a car club, it still has hosting, software, forum upgrades, paypal charges, domain names etc etc to pay for.

I would glady pay more to support it and see it grow, I just wish I could contribute more to the forum and get to some of the meets organised here.
