7-8k? where do you people get your money!!??!?!?!?

im in the merchant navy, earn 35k a year, dont pay tax, and work 3 months on, 3 months off, so 6 months of the year, next year im gunna work 8 months, that gives me the 8k that year, which for me seems only fit to go into the car, as ive always wanted a seriously fast turbo hatch, and would cost more than that for me to get 300hp from my 106, main reason why i moved over to the starlet

i had looked into an mr2 engine being fitted, only spoke to one person who knows of some who had this done, and they spoke about 15k, and for that, i'd rather not lol

wise choice, the 5e gives you loads of power, but the 4e can be done to 300bhp aswell. have money ready when its done for new engine mount bushes :p

from my experiance,

whatever your qouted you will need to add about 3k, this is for unforseen problems that may occur.

to get a complete setup like your looking for i would be budgeting about 11-12k at least.

also i personally would recomend a better engine management than the emanage ultimate, but then budgets will restrict what you can be offered.

i wont really be looking to budget 12k, as its a tad much, so if what im lookin fro, cant be catered for, at around 8k, i will more than likley look for a different project/think about what i want from the car

cheers

a forged 5e setup,
matched turbo setup
diffed box
proper suspension setup

For that lot you are looking at just over £5k plus fitting

my kinda guy, seems like we will be friends next year lol

but is around what i was wanting to hear to be honest, that leaves me a fair whack for the management and mapping, setup etc

cheers

its a great price, the emanage ultimate is more than capable for 5e set up, if you want advice go for the tdo4 hybrid, no lag at all. ( if you have a lot of money left over get the hks f-con but thats for somthing really serious )
