id recommend a post 92!!!
as a pre 92 owner getting the parts isnt quite so easy.
as i found having to wait 5 weeks for a set of 3G discs!
and some other parts are different aswell, its not that thay cost any more infact its about the same, just that the different parts arent always kept on the shelf as with post 92's.

i bought mine from bradford!
I'm slightly worried now, dont want it to break!
some are good some are bad, but the majority of the ones in bradford are poor examples, you get some good ones but there are very few in that area.
i wouldnt worry mate, if its running fine and fuelling correctly all will be well

I'm aware that £4000 for a MK1 isn't cheap (Don't worry, I've not go the hump either LOL!!) but you do get what you pay for and my GT is a bit special. I challenge anybody to find another MK1 in anywhere near it's condition. Also you know where it's been for the last 7 1/2 years and you know it's not been abused. If I was going to abuse it, I wouldn't have kept it for 7 1/2 years.
I've never had a problem finding any parts for my GT, apart from seatbelts many years ago.
In my opinion the MK1 is the original and the best, the front bumber is far more aggressive than the later models and the green glowing GT badge on the tailgate is the tits LOL!!!
Also it's a very rare colour and even rarer Blitz wheels!!!
Oh also please don't get confused with the mileage, the figure I've quoted is in miles, not kilometers. This has been my daily driver since I got it. When I bought it, the company who imported it (Delta Motor Company) converted the speedo to read in MPH and also at my request changed the odometer reading to the equivelent in miles. It has been reading in miles since the day I picked it up which was 01/05/2000. It's not really something to worry about though, Toyota engines are goog for way over 200k if looked after properly.

Oh also, I forgot to mention. Part of the condition of my wife allowing me to sell the baby is that it can't be sold to anybody close to us as it would break her heart to see somebody else driving it. So if you're from Yorkshire...You're buggered LOL!!!
id also only sell it to someone over a certain age too rick i.e 21+....because most little wankers who are 17-19 dont apriciate them and rag the tits off them....would be such a waste

Good point mate. Sometimes I hate seeing some for sale who have obviously been owned by a Max Flower chav and you know the people of the area where they live think we are all nob heads who drive like tossers.
