HDI FMIC........ awful to fit ep82

..these kits were specifically marketed for manuals only? Lots of people ripping on the kits without actually reading up on any relevant info prior. Yes these require trimming your bumper but certainly not to the extent you've gone to. Get the pipes in the right place and take your time removing depth from the bumper and you can get it to sit just right.

The kit doesn't fit right because you've got an auto box in the way. The joiner by the radiator fan shroud/battery tray needs to be over to the left a significant way to get the rest of the piping to line up/fit your bumper. Solution is manual conversion :)

finally finished fitting the intercooler:) had to move the core much futher back so it was sitting right next the crash bar as it was at a little angle before :) more cutting was involved thow had to take the whole trim out of the bumper so the core could sit in place

From what I can see your core is mounted alot lower than mine, that was probably causing a bit of a problem because the pipes are actually bending down fromthe cooler.

I didnt use the side mounting brackets just mounted it on the uderside of the cooler, worked fine :)

Glad to see you got it all on OK, I lost boost last nite bloody bung that wa blocking the BOV pipe popped off and I cant get nothing to fit it now :flame:

I've removed the unhelpful posts from this thread, please keep it respectful.

Nice work on getting this kit fitted mate, the automatic box can cause some serious alignment issues depending on the design of the pipes. You seem to have overcome it confidently.

A nice heads-up for anyone planning the same FMIC for an automatic so many thanks for sharing it.
