i believe so. the girl who had it before me didnt do much to it. i got it standard pretty much only had air filter, blitz bov and turbo timer. had standard hubs on it lol. the mani got heat sheet still on it and believe that stock as well.

So what did you pay the mechanic £1300 for exactly?? For that money I would be expecting a forged engine or a TD04 setup, thats just crazy money.
By the sounds of it that mechanic is a complete tool that has fucked your car and charged you £1300 for the privilege. When you say that your boost just goes to 1.5bar that sounds like boost creep to me, prob because he has left the stock actuator in place when trying to up the boost.
You should buy a aftermarket actuator either Jam or HKS and get that installed and bring the boost down.
Then do a compression test on the engine to see if you have fucked one of your pistons.
Check your mani for cracks also because that has prob been destroyed. If it is your oil seals that have went on the turbo then get it changed asap you should pick up a decet 2nd hand one for around £100.

ohhh and do you have a FCD (Fuel Cut Defender) it will be located beside your ECU. Because when you say you get a judder at 5K it maybe fuel cut??

for 1300 i got japspeed FMIC, power enterprise air filter, air filter relocation kit, HKS APR (which he was meant to get me super afr and not the one that looks like the fcd) and it fitted and set up on rollers (which cost 300 and they didnt even redo the fcd as we had to do that when we got back to workshop) i feel i got ripped off now but my best mate told me to take it there as he just had his evo 4 finished there (which is still fooked gone through umpteen turbos) I says that he will order me mani but never did :(. He still got 200 quid of mine and he knows i work away at week and home only at weekends and he never in on sat when he is meant to be working.

I got told its not creep but redicilous amounts of lag.

I really am worried that this has killed my GT.

I cant see it being lag to be honest, as a CT9 isnt laggy. Like my setup is a but mad im running the poor little CT9 @ 1.2bar, im on FULL boost @ 3500rpm roughly.
With the that kinda delay in the boost you would be looking at a TD04 or something like that but as you said you dont have one of them. What does your car boost before it jumps to 1.5bar?? Also do you still have the boost solenoid in place (HI/LO Boost) if so what does it does on LO??

Surely if it was the clutch clipping it would do it the other way about as in you would be driving @4K then put the foot down it would slip up to 5K then drop back down to 4K when the clutch engages again??

i really not sure if i do or not have it still on. I know it is bypassed (so i been told). Im not the cleveriest at cars hence why i pay people always to do mine for me.

This GT becoming another C2 where i paid someone alot of money to get my car sorted and they bodge it.

So i need to get a test done then get hks actuator then what??

right this is how the car is.

Turbo is slow to kick in and stays at about 0.6 bar till 4k revs where it goes nuts and goes straight to 1.5 in matter of mini seconds. Then in 4th and 5th gear at 4k rpm it goes to 5k then slips to 4k then to 5.5k. When i am boosting past 4k rpm there is massive amounts of blue and black smoke from exhaust. on idle it does not smoke, but if i have been out for say 10 minutes and stop the car engine bay very very hot.

Well the first thing I would do is sort your boost out asap, because the longer its like that the more damage it is doing.
If you dont know how to work your boost controller then I would try and get the boost solenoid back in. Then you will need the HKS actuator to hold the boost correctly and set it up at the desired boost.
Yeah get a compression test done and if the compression is too low then you will have to replace whatever parts neccessary to fix your engine (pistons).
Its such a waste you spending that much money to increase your cars performance to set it back to stock so when you know the engine is ok set your new HKS actuator to 1bar which should give you a constant 1bar boost.
The smoke sounds like oil seals on the turbo to me, do you have a whistle off your turbo??

Yeah it does sound more like the clutch now aswell. I would recomend taking the car to a mechanic you trust or ask someone off here who you trust to recommend a mechanic because its looking like you have multiple problems which all will need sorting or the GT will go BANG!!!
This is why I HATE dodgy mechanics because they will fook up your whole car.

Cheers guys for the help my mate coming over saturday to have a look and see what the problem is. GT_Elaine kindly sais she will turn down the boost for me on sunday which really kind.

Thanks everyone for helping me rep points added. I will let you know how I get on.

Good news on cash though phoned my dad last night and we going to pick the outstanding money up this afternoon which I will put towards hks actuator and possibly new turbo :)

But quick question running 1bar on a stock manifold is that not pushing it a bit?? I would have thought trying set it to 0.8 would have been better until he get a new manifold????

Tim it does sound like your clutch is slipping but as long as you take it easy when the boost is turned down you have some leeway in replacing it.. Depending on what your plans are for the car will determine what sort of clutch you go for.

There are plenty of good mechanics in your area Seed is a very good person to talk to about finding a trust worthy one!!

With the new turbo it’s a really easy fix (I no I have been trough a few) if you need help finding a 2nd hand one just say. :)

1 bar on stock mani imo is ok.(each to there own) ive been running 15psi on stock mani for 7 months no problems...... good luck in getting it sorted mate hope its nothing serious. when problem solving always use the free or cheapest options first!
