well il keep looking! i hope i sell me glanza, but by the looks px maybe a option.

i was talking to my tuner yesterday, he said my management, and fuel regulator can be put on to these cars, and would see a gain... so the parts out of my starlet can go on this.. then he was beggin me to keep the boost controller so he can turbo it. i think he thinks im made of money :( (wish i was)

It would probably be cheaper to 4A-GZE it, although looking in the engine bay, I doubt it would be a huge amount of problem fitting a 3S-GTE to it :homer:

Thats the exact same as mine actually:rockon:. Differant wheels tho. same exhaust and all

Nice! How do you find it on fuel and maintenance? Someone said they're very reliable, but I was told the same about the Starlet before buying it, so I'm a bit wary.

I think they are very fun to drive. The 20V is quite slow compared to standard EP82, 4agze, civic Vti and Mitsu Cyborg-R. I have the AE101 4agze for about 8 months time, and it was really a nice car. The 20V is slower, but more economy on fuel. The 4agze came with superstrut suspension and standard LSD gearbox. Hope these help!

to be fair though mikey, the engine hasnt really let you down, and you did buy a tuned example, and not a standard one.

there isnt many tuned levins around, so therefore less chance of them breaking down, and they have no turbo to worry about, and also have longer service intervals. so should save you a bit of cash aswell on the servicing side of things.

Allot heavier on the juice than the glanza i find. as for maintenance just service regularly and make sure the superstrut suspension is sound before buying. Allot of ppl knock the 20valve but after having owned a glanza for 4 years i find it just as quick if not quicker. Corners sweeet too.

Yeah, handles really well compared to what I remember my old Starlet being like
(think the longer wheelbase helps a lot)

Just for reference, I have a non-superstrut Levin and it handles bootifully, and without the ubes expensive costs of replacing the superstrut suspension when it goes

I think you'll find the rear independant suspension will be the MAIN reason for the better handling...a longer wheelbase will just make the car a bit more stable at speed

Pumba, that 101 is stunning. I've seen one on Pistonheads, didn't like the look of the scoop, it looks too wide, but yours doesn't seem that bad. Infact, it's quite a nice looker, supercharger to boot too. I can't find the one I saw before, I'm sure it was on Pistonheads, but it's not there now. :(

True. The headgasket is gone, although that was probably caused by track-day hoonage on a 27 deg C day with a shit/knackered rad. :(

has the headgasket actually gone? or do you just think it has?

I've noticed water starting to leak from behind the manifold/PS pump, so I'm guessing it has. :(. Still not had any overheating though, although that uber rad I have fitted probably helps.

this seller, by the sounds his levins are not here and need to be imported

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290207197663&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123

same seller for the black one u liked.

Yeh, AutoAdvan or something like that. I've had a reply back off them, they don't want a PX but they do regularly import, so it would be worth keeping an eye on ther site (Which has a LOT of cars).

If you don't mind travelling, mine is likely to be for sale shortly

Really? Oooh. Got pics/info? I'm not sure when I'll be in a position to buy or what my budget is yet, but I wouldn't mind traveling a distance if the car is what I want.

:)
