chris this is the other number you need, toby unfortunately was wrong, i have just spoke to toyota and they changed in 1992.

the part number above is for 1992 onwards

bearing part numbers.

toby this is not a personal fight against you mate, i only mentioned your name as you were the one that put the part number for the bearings in chris's previous thread, and i used them, after speaking to toyota it ended up that them numbers you gave were wrong.

i was just telling chris so he dont get the wrong ones, please dont take it personally toby :)

are the correct ones for 92 on, gearboxes.

Im really confused lol!

So is there different ways of taking the box apart then? Its just that tutorial clearly says you have to remove the 5th gear and you have done it twice and have never done it :confused:! Help :p!

Ive not been on the link, but i assure you, you dont have to touch any gears.

Split the box in 2, its a pain in the ass, but you dont have to touch any gears. ie Bell housing from the gear box casing. ;)

1 hour job at most, with the box out.

thats what dan_ep82 said, split the box and the diff more or less falls straight out, apparently the tricky bit was the speedo drive or something
