Installing LSD

thats what dan_ep82 said, split the box and the diff more or less falls straight out, apparently the tricky bit was the speedo drive or something

Speedo drive is pretty simple.
Im not sure what it is in the box, but it has to be hooked into a slot on a gear, then bolted to the bell housing.
Working in a 1" gap, with 2 bolts to screw in.
Its fun............ :argue: Shouting and swearing is the key. :p

Right well I got my Kaaz LSD today off mc_chu and it looks brand new :), very pleased.

Now I dont know much about LSD's, but do the diff bearings sit on each end of the diff unit? If so, they look almost new aswell so is it really worth changing them?

Also, do the Kaaz LSD's require any adjusting before they go in or are they just ready to drop in and go? Thanks in advance :)

i remember mc_chu saying it had only done a very small ammount of mileage, so i assume they will be perfectly fine mate :)

Ok cool.

What about setting the LSD up then Ricky? Dont you have to do this with your TRD or do they just drop in and that's it?

i have absolutely no idea.

it's annoying i cant read japanese sometimes lol

i beleive you only need to set them up for 1.5 way or 2 way, it should be preset to 1.5way.

i beleive the guy who done mine, just dropped it straight in pretty much.

mine needs to be run in, but yours is used and should be ok

Free if you do it yourself :p

Never had anyone else fit one, so unsure. Wouldnt be cheap though.

Dantheman said it was easy as Pie and the Cusco LSD I just bought is reconditioned so I guess I dont need bearings, just the seals :):):), It only takes around an hour and a half to fit I heard
