agreed, with the boost now it spins in 1st in the dry with pereli's' on but with those old steelies on tho it used to spin in 1st in the dry running 0.4 bar. but people still don't know what it is. they just think its a metro........ until it passes them.

nah i would only do it for temporary as a laugh, too dangerous permanently. it's just that Metro looks so unassuming and sleepy with the steelies, just how i like 'em ;)

Quick car then and now! Always toyed with the idea of getting one of them back in the day...

hell yeah, 6.7 to 60 and that's before you start tinkering with it ;) mine ran 28psi (for a short while, before a cam lobe and then a short time later the differential decided they wanted out, hehe)

if i could find one that hadn't rotted into tiny pieces i'd snap one up.

I have a soft spot for the MG badge. I learned in a MG Montego and loved every minute - the electrical gremlins kept things interesting!

what did it go like? there a 2.0 aren't they?

bat out of hell mate, 2.0 8v with a T3 turbo running on a modded HIF44 carb that pressurised the float chamber under boost. 150bhp as standard, christ knows what mine was but it was quick, way quicker than the starlet is.
