my god thats pushing it abit is it not??

Depends on tune and engine condition mate.

Mine ran all day long at 220hp on stock internals. Could of run more, but I did not want to run the risk as it is a daily drive.

..So more or less 1.4bar.

I got 275hp at 1.4bar, Wainy got 265hp the other week with a manifold leak, plus the rollers were under reading on the day.

Steve on here got 275hp also.

And now we have Nick.

There was someone else who got 275hp at 1.2bar, which is the only one I would be a little skeptical about, but depending on mods and tune I guess it is totally achieveable.

Don't think it is our rollers over here that are the problem to be fair.

Guess you don't mean my figures.:) and well done Nick great result.

Exactly... Just because someone makes a figure on a TD04, doesn't mean that their tune is the definitive tune, and anything else is wrong... There a a few Starlets with 270bhp on a TD04 now (and some with more), so the proof's in the pudding!

I wouldnt want to even push 300hp on the TD04L.

Saying that, I guess once it goes it only £50 to replace.

Thanks Dan, yea good figure but it can be improved easily, Boost issue is annoying but once sorted we may well push for the 300 barrier but who knows, may see how far i can go with the boost levels also as intake temps are mega low at current boost :cool:

Hi Nick, just seen your graph mate, well done :D

Really impressed with that, best TD04 graph i've seen so far. Power comes in nice and early, lots of torque too :) once you've sorted the boost problem out sure you will see 290ish.

Just goes to show what a good map can really do.

What are your thoughts on the TD04L at max efficency vs K24 at max efficency? I never got a ride in Ben's K24 so never managed to experience that turbo :(

Last time we spoke, you said you were not going to boost the TD04L to 1.4bar due to your theory about the standard headbolts lifting.

What changed?
