Either type flex or the newer mono flex. Dont think you can go wrong there, iv a set of brand new mono flex's. One of the lads down here bought the older type flex's 2nd hand a while back and he rates them fairly highly! And trust me that chap can drive! ha

just buy a emu loom they come with every thing u need its onoly blues u need the other looms all u will need after that is a 3 bar map sensor get the loom and sensor off ebay if u can there very cheap on there non greddy but do the job v well

to make it future proof lad :

get 550's injectors
zep head gasket is fine
no need for fuel rail at all unless you want bling under the bonnet.
id go with coilovers, i know Irish roads are worst than anywhere but mine are fine on them.

engine mount & gearbox mounts from powerflex, as your old ones will shit themslves. i done all my bushes while i was at it ( TRD ).

A Zep 1.2mm Head Gasket will do the job then it will.??

550cc injectors, you dont need the tuning developments fuel rail unless its for bling purposes.

i'm running the 550cc's @1.6bar, with a/f's of 12.2 ish and there at 74% duty cycle

550 are meant to be better spray pattern & if you go for more power they are already in. up to you man but i certainly would go with 550's, i got my engine built by TMD they recommend 550's aswell & also the buys on here recommended.

good point alright dude, are they ok to use even if i wanna boost at a bar?? for everyday use so dont wanna run low boost and have them running rich.

keep helping me out as im trying to learn everything as i go along!

yes they are fine, just more capacity for future mods. i use them & you wont max them out at 250bhp, not even close. id go with 550's in your shoes & chenge engine mounts aswell

Need more info....

- Where to get a Newly Re-conditioned TD04L Turbo
- Is it worth my while gettin the crankshaft regrounded/balanced, etc...
- Will I need any headwork other than getting it Ported, Polished and Skimmed
- Do I need to upgrade my Main Bolts (crank to block)
- Injectors..... 460cc or 550cc
- Toyota Full Engine Rebuild Gasket Set... what exactly is included, will I need anymore seals/gaskets other than what is in the set

Check out original post and see if Ive missed anything

Also Ive noticed two small chips on two of my exhaust cam lobes, will they need replacing?

Is it worth my while getting a set of Billet Cams or??

ok

550cc injectors,

dont get crank reground unless it needs it,

do get it all balanced (makes a lot of difference)

the cams are fine, i havnt seen a set of stock cams that dont have a couple of those tiny tiny chips (i think there from casting )

you dont have to do any head work but it is recomended, dont just port the inlet and exhaust side, it's pointless unless you actually enlarge the valve throats also, dont polish the exhaust side or the inlet side it is actually bad to do so.

you dont have to upgrade the main bolts, i have seen anyone break the stock ones yet and i'm running 240whp with no issues, @ 1.6bhp, upgrades are available though.

do get arp headbolts

you dont have to get the toyota full gasket set, you can get perfectly good engine sets from the aftermareket, i am using one and so are 3 of the pp crew's engines, so far without any issue. if you do get either the toyota one or an aftermarket one you wont need any extra gaskets.

Ok folks, Where do i start my shopping?

Ive just ordered a full set of Powerflex Engine Mounts.

Ive got brand new Apexi Power Intake, TRD Rad Cap, Rays TE37's, x2 Outer C.V Boot Kit, SPS Clear Cambelt Cover, Powerflex Exhaust Bushes all in stock ready to be fitted.

What do I buy next? All engine internals??(pistons, rods, headbolts, bearings?)
