As Christy Said above But you'll have to contact an Administrator and they can revoke Repetuation given to you.

Nice work Dylan, hopefully this can help built trust in the family a little.

Would be nice for newbies to know who to listen to. I've noticed a lot of misinformation floating about and anything to reduce it is a good thing.

Everyone starts with 10 reputation points so when you get your first reputation point it will go to 11 then you can view that comment. But the first 10 points are free.haha.:p

thanks for the feedback etc above guys.

With regards to other systems on other forums, they all sound like good ideas but this is the system we have for now so we want to see how this one works. You can call it any name you want but reputation is what it is known as in the forum software, if "thanks" makes it a nicer system to use call it that :)

Everyone starts at 10 rep points.

The next level that gets you another green box is 50 and there are more beyond that.

Different people have different amounts of reputation they can give or take away depending on some of the factors I mentioned in the first post - go back and have a read

If you feel you are being bullied let me know and I can check it out.

This is being monitored by me at the moment and I can spot it very easily!!

just did a bit of research there and we have had approx 80 reputations dished out by members and zero have been negative....

In the admin control panel I can see the comments beside each and the post that they received the rep points for. It makes for very good reading and is extremely positive.
Keep it up guys.

Okay Ive done some more playing around with this... and my findings are...

- I dont know how many points get you another green box. When I put myself to 100 I got one and when I put myself to 200 I didnt get another so not sure what the interval is

- I have changed the messages you see when you hover your mouse pointer over the users green box so it gives a good idea in the phrase its displays. For example most will be "a novice round here" until they hit a score of 50. An example would be someone on 200 will have the message "gv1.3 is a working class hero and has 200 or more rep points!" and this message will be displayed until I get above 300.

I hope this will give a better idea of where you are...

I have also changed a setting to display the past 20 reputations you have been given when you click into your user cp, this was set at 10 previously.

One last thing I have found...

If you click on one of your own posts to give yourself feedback it will post up your current feedback score and will list any comments that were left on that post for you by other people! Good little feature

Is there anyway that you can turn off the abilty to give/receive rep for chill out room material? I just got negative for saying that I think H2O are wank AKA having a laugh in a non technical thread.

Exactly, no matter how entertaining you think a thread is, or how much you disagree with an opinion it doesn't deserve to gain or lose you rep.

I'll admit I left him some neg as I was a tad miffed at his loss of sense of humour so if a mod could delete both of these it would be nice of you.

Try it out on me I am 169 now so should be 168 when you negative rep me.
