Hey,

Just got back. I'm providing the back box and he said he'd make up the piping, turn the de-cat around so it faces off to the left, add a small flexi into it and weld hangers to the back box and then the chassis so it can be held on with exhaust rubbers.

He wanted £120. I think its pretty good, so I'm gonna get my manifold fitted then book it in. Can't wait!

Well that sounds wicked i aint got a backbox. Where will your backbox be passenger or drivers side. Will the CAT be changeable for MOT time?

Drivers side; pretty sure its illegal if it is passenger side? As far as I know, we dont need a CAT, well if your car was pre-1995.

Yer mine is 1994 i thought it was pre -1993 if thats the case thats brilliant.
I had a quote for £284.99 from a place by my house MIJ Performance.
Just emailed CC Customs which is apart of powerflow to see what they can do for me, I'l need a backbox aswell so i should be looking at about £200 hopefully.

lol this is true. Basically, things are going in this order: manifold, front exit THEN clutch (already ordered one from america, but will take 1 week to get here)! lol It only slips a tiny bit if I thrash it about - it'll be fine for a few more weeks until I can get it fitted!

Yeah cause you need a back box the price will go up a fair bit! Why not try to getting a universal jap style one of eBay for £20/30??

Yer i guess thats an idea il go and have a look at some back boxes today then, see if i can pick up a nice backbox, wheres this place your getting yours done as £120 sounds really good price. I guess i will need a HKS actuator aswell to aid boost creep, but thats no problem.

They are a Toyota specialist garage, but also a powerflow agent! Pretty cheap for powerflow I thought! Had a nice looking GT4 up on the ramps too!

I went MIJ Performance by my house today £400 they want for a system with exit pipe just infront of back wheel. With a middle box i aint gonna bother as i heard their skyline and its soo loud. They got 2 skylines there 1 is 1100bhp he sed and the other is 600bhp no proof but 1 wa supposed to have done 9 sec 1/4 mile so must be powerful.

Yer i asked for that 1st an he said he wouldn't be able to beat £120 and he said police will be pulling me every 2 mins. Then i said how about a bit further back with a silencer so it would be abit quieter he was like £400. I was like looks like im goin to powerflow then haha

I havent been pulled once yet since the side exit fitted, and you can imagine how loud mine is.... If you behave yourself and dont express the noise of the exhaust in built up areas such as main towns etc you'll be fine......

Had mine fitted earlier today. I think its 2.25" with a tanabe back box and it sounds amazing. On idle its so much deeper and sounds lush but the best part is when you get on full boost it starts screaming, quite high pitched - sounds like a vtech lol. Came to £105.75 including VAT. They put a hefty brace in that connects it to the same bracket that the standard exhaust connects to - so hopefully the mani shouldn't crack at all.

Next step is to completely heat wrap, but I friggin' love it!

told u mate u'll luv it!! tbh i find the front side exit exhaust note alot nicer than vtech note. u must try it in tunnels now! all cars in front of u will check their rear mirrors to c what's coming up!
