**Sold Dangerous Car complete with dodgy MOT**Please read

Hey guys and girls, popped over from Streetrace.co.uk after someone posted a link.
Well I've had a read and it all sounds very dodgy to say the least, i struggled like hell to get my car through an mot and that's a damn fiat bravo lol, my project car was just as bad (no worries with the knight rider dash or gullwing tho!) there VERY strict when it comes to MOT standards now.
But it seems that this car has been a victim of a payoff MOT, IF all those parts were fixed, why is it the new owner reports pretty much everything on the fail sheet as still being present.
Not only this, how can a car do 14,268 miles in a day when it is failed an MOT and as it states on the fail documents "Illegal to drive on a public road" unless the test station is 14,268 miles away of course :haha:

*You need to make VOSA aware of the vehicle and the person who tested it, sorry the guy doesn't deserve a job if he is doing dodgy MOT's I pay for my car to be safe not a shed.
*The guy needs to pay up, if he doesn't you need to report him to the police, its fraud to sell a car under false dodgy mot certificates.
Hope it all comes right for you, but its a lesson learned.
If your buying a car check:
HPI, Service History, VOSA database for any accident damage or status of car.
Visually check everything on the car, if there's a jack with the car use it!
If i'm buying a car i want to see all of it and if the owner gets un-nerved WALK AWAY there hiding something.
If your not sure about a car get someone who knows the car well to check it.
There's information online for common faults to check on also.
If the owner is in a hurry to get you to sign the paper work don't rush, take your time, your buying a car or your not buying a car there is no time limit for them to dictate.
Test drive the car, check full lock both sides and check tracking with the 30mph test, if the owner try's to get out of a test drive WALK AWAY cause you'll be sorry if you sign that paper, once its signed they have you by the curlies.

over here we take out cars to a government run mot center not a garage so there isnt away you can put a car through like this

I started rteading this earlier tonight, had to go to work, and have only just caught up!
When I read those MOT reports, it was obvious the tester had committed a serious offense in passing a dangerous car. Then it transpires the tester was sham. I met him a bit back, got an exhaust off him, seemed like a nice guy. Thus, my first reaction was to defend him, then i realised an unbiased reaction is more reliable, what he has done is inexcusable. He endangered lives - lives he knew would be totally ignorant of the danger they were in.
Akki has deliberately set out to decieve, and deserves the full wieght of the law to come down on him.
Sham has done a mate a favour, the extent to which he'd considered the consequences we don't know, but the offense he has commited is just as serious, if not more so. he shouldn't be allowed to get away with that.

i would like to say i am totally shocked at this thread i cant believe someone would do this to another person let alone be so stupid to do it to someone on a forum site with them er dum fks...
well im glad you got your money back matt an your so lucky nothing happened to you in that death trap lol ...
this thread has already spread out very far i have added it onto the main forums an car club i use http://forums.hyundaicoupe.info/index.php
hopefully this will prevent something like this happening again
the garage that performed the mot best be having an investigation from what has been said due to the high risk of an accident the car sounded like...

wow - i was up to speed with this thread as of 6pm yesterday and thers like another 8-10 pages added since then - and people from other sites too!! clearly the whole car community comes together in situations like this - which is good news for all.
other good news is that matt has got has money back (yet to confirm though by him??) and akki is now banned.

I have been getting so many calls about this but didnt get a chance to read until now... still havent read it all as its too long and need to get to work.
Any way the car did come in for mot and failed on several items, these things were fixed and mot certificate was printed out....
The things it failed on was minor and was fixed there and then at the mot station. The car was taken from the garage and been involved in a front end smash as the customer bought it back to us asking what to do.
Why is it you people just jump to conclusions without even hearing the full story, there was no dodgy mot involved in this, you think that i would risk my licence to pass a car and then lose my job for fuk all.
The garage that i work at is no back street garage or somat, we work to a high level, we have 10 workers there, 3 mot testers and hopefully another tester soon. We do so many mots a day and you think that my boss wants to lose his business over a £1600 car?
