OMG i cant beleive it, i just been looking at cars on autotrader, and decided to look at starlets whilst i was on there.

i cant beleive the price and how many are up for sale. i also cant beleive how whoever is selling them dont have clue wot there on about.

my main bugbear is how cheap they are on there now. this time last year there was only a handful on there and the least i could find one for was £3500+ oh the difference a year can make.

starlets can be picked up for nothing these days....this happens every car that is veryu common and the price will keep on dropping....you can get a glanza over here for 3500euros which is about 2k£....

Cheap, poor condition examples are bringing values down terribly. I'd advise any buyers to be picky. Not as many GT's as CTR's I notice...lol

i dont think its that bad at all. auto GTs are as cheap as they were 3 years ago. auto glanzas are quite a bit cheaper. manual ones still command at the very minimum £2500 for an average looking stock example.
most decent ones with a few mods are still priced at £3-£3.5k+

it looks bad as the 1st 2 or 3 pages are basically all autos, which are of a lower price. they are nearly getting to the kinda price that makes me wanna sell my n/a an have a turbo auto as a runaround!

I agree with Jay, the cheap shit examples bring the overall price down on the starlet at the moment.

Definately be picky as there are some shit examples floating about, they will go back up in price in time because there will come a point when you cant easily get one from Japan - they are already slowing down a bit through auction.

yeah EP82's are deffinetly running low at the auctions. I originally asked a Starlet specialist in Andover to import one for me, but after over a month of looking he found nothing really worth buying.

I guess Glanza'a will be plentifull for a while longer.

The thing to remember is although they are becoming more and more common it won't last very long. The poor examples will end up in the hands twats who have no idea what they are doing and will be unable to afford to run them after a while.

i was talking to a guy last night who apparantly used to own a "Starlet Limited" (whatever one of those is, guess he meant an advanced and not a 4wd limited!) he claimed to have (and i quote) "ragged the shit out of it every day, and was unable to break it no matter how hard he tried" and his turbo also glowed white, yes white after a while and it went see through and he was able to light fags off it. Must have been one of those limited edition CT-9's with a perspex window which boosts on idle with the bonnet open. Twat

GT Limited was the fore-runner to the Advanced model. Basically a limited edition offering Momo wheel, gearknob, two-tone paint and 'Limited' decals.

The rest sounds like drunken exaggeration..

A local lad just bought an 96 Auto Glanza for £1600. Silver with light impact on the rear end, silly cheap imo.

i have never had my turbo glowing red, that so unfair i treat my car so well, and it gives me loads of greif.

maybe the starlets will do wot the old fords have done like the escort rst;s fiesta rst's and cosworths, theyve all shot up in price in recent years, fingers crossed that when i got to sell mine in 3 years the prices will have climbed back up.

i dont think they are all that low tbh. maybe £500 lower than 3 years ago when i bought mine, thats not too bad.

all i have to do is one 1/4 mile run and it will glow red!?!?

I would agree with that, people importing (no offence to anyone on here or my dad (lol) just talking in general) either buy lower grade models cause they are cheap. My dad has a couple of nice glanza's at the mo and neither of those are what I would call cheap but they are both really nice examples, the nice stuff is getting hard to find thats for sure.

The reason most of them are so cheap on there is they would be poor condition and have had their nuts ragged out of them.
