mate had a GTiR, awesome car! running an ecu, standalone i think and 1 bar boost mod, lowered and uprated pads that was it, put a smile on my face every time i went in it, ran 13,1 down the pod, faster than most the more modified ones, yes it was a pain when little things went wrong but he had no gbox problems or anything, aslong as you dont launch stupidly all the time should be ok.

i've owned a norris designs pulsar and a evo4...pulsar is a thirsty little shit of a car even more so than a scooby..evo was a awsome car so i would go for a evo5 or 6,but if your under the age of 25 i'd say forget the evo as you'll be hammered for insurance(i'm 38 so was only 250 quid a year fully comp!!BONUS!!)i'd say keep yer starlet mate!!!

I'm 21 and got an VIII FQ300. Insurance was under £1500. Obviously a large chunk of cash, but considering the car I think it's pretty decent.

sky wouldnt insure me on an evo not even a standard one because i'm only 24 (i am currently with sky), bit silly really when they will insure my starlet with all mods declared and with a max horsepower limit of 300bhp,

They wouldn't ensure me on a VII GSR (Import), but they would on the FQ300 (which is still technically a grey import, as are all Evo's). Insurance companies are nut jobs lol.

Celica GT- Four ST205
Loved my celica comfortable, looked nice, handled well, but parts arent cheap and the clutch is a swine of a job. Get the cat off, boost controller to 1.1/1.2bar and they go well, however i drove an Evo6 and my gt4 was for sale the day after.
Evo 5:
Best car ive owned, handles amazingly well out out the box, easy to get power out of will do 400bhp/400ftlbs on stock internals and turbo. Looks cool as tits

Seats arent very comfortable though,
If you want one get an RS (as when AYC breaks its expensive, and it will break).
Fuel consumption is awful compared to its rivals (MR2 turbo, Silvia),
Insurance is worse than its rivals.
I would have either of them again both great cars, but next i will be looking MR2 turbo or 200sx just as quick and much cheaper to run.

dont really have a budget as such, and next year i will only be in the uk 2 or 3 months, as im gunna bask work to save, so running costs aint really a bother either, thing that bothers me is insurance, cos ive got a ban to declare, only got 2 yrs no claims aswell, so get fucked on it, my starlet is 1200 TPFT, and i cant justify it for the performance of it, but confused the cock is shite with quotes lol, cant quote imports, and dont have time to be ringing places just now lol

Confused.com - Will give you an insight on who is the cheapest (out of their providers) and then when you go to them direct, it will be cheaper. Expect phonecalls unless you enter a dummy phone number though.
