The Twin Towers were made using a structure consisting of a rigid "hollow tube" of closely spaced steel columns with floor trusses extending across to a central core. This was employed due to the height of the buildings and gave the best protection against weather conditions. (Not Planes)
A really good design, the centre core essentially only taking the gravitational weight of the building with a prefabricated steel lattice, with small columns doing the rest of the work.
Introduce to that a Plane filled with jet fuel. The remaning material in the centre core not blown out from the initial impact would have been affected by heat from the burning plane, fuel and office supplies, not hot enough to melt it but weaken it enough to cause extra stess on the lower structure.
This would cause the centre core to buckle making it look like the "floating" floors were falling straight down.
As for the comment about the lower floors apearing to have been blown out and people hearing explosions, as the plane hits the building a shock wave would have traveled down as the building bends and stresses. (Remember, its designed to do that to a certain extent to withstand weather conditions) This shock wave would have hit the greatest area of resistance being the ground and would have blown the windows out in that area. (Similar to an earthquake).
Interesting point, However. The towers were not designed to withstand a plane hit. This is a building that was designed before 1966 and opened in 1972.
The Sprinkler system was not efficient enough to put out a fire consisting of jet fuel and over such a large area.
As I said before though, the impact wouldnt have casued the building to fall, it was the prolonged heat affecting the centre core design that would have led to the failure.
People are never going to agree on what happened. But from an engineering point of view the evidence given for the theory I gave makes sense.
did anyone not read my post about the third tower. explain how that happened. ?????????????????????????????????????????? they pulled it down the same day saying the fire dpt had to pull it. it goes down in the same way. controlled demolition. <<<<<<<<<<<<<< was never covered on news much as it is obviouse they had detinators before everything happened. it takes days of work to pull a building of that size . look it up ppl . if that building had explosives days before then i gaurantee the 2 others did and it just shows that someone had prior knowledge of all this happening. anyone look at the ppl who do that stock market stuff. look that up 2 cos there was such an increase in trade <<<<< never seen before a day before it happened. <<<<<<< whats that all about .
Trying to find info now, I thought wtc3 was demolished by the two main towers falling first onto it leaving only the lower levels. This can be seen in alot of photos before, during and after each tower falls.
I typed World Trade Centre 3 Collapse in to Google, not found anything significant yet but did find this. http://www.mace.manchester.ac.uk/pr...toricFires/BuildingFires/worldTradeCenter.htm
Showes the theory I tried to explain above but in much better detail.
some of the points above regarding people taking money out of the country are such a joke.
If people come and work in a country and perform a service who the hell is anyone to tell them where they should spend their money and why is it anyones business if they take the money back home.
I think the real issue here is when people see more highly educated people coming to their country, getting a good job and seemingly earning a decent wage. There has been a huge influx of Polish workers into Ireland and they work very hard and earn good money. Yes they are probably planning on leaving and going home to buy a house etc but good for them. They fill jobs that otherwise wouldnt be filled.
As for giving 50k to some punter who came over and he set up a stall selling drugs. These isolated incidents are always the ones that get most attention. They make it sound like any person from a different country can arrive and will be handed 50k to set up a business, that is not the case.
I have issue with gypsies arriving from romania etc and begging at traffic lights but I know a guy from Romania who has made a great life for himself in Ireland. similarly Nigerians have a bad name in Ireland, one of my best mates is from Nigeria and came to Ireland got an education and worked with me for 5 years.
I hate the "taxi driver" attitude - "those foreigners come over here and take all of our jobs... blah blah blah" - just because they have a chip on their shoulder.
All of the above said - I do believe that people who come to our country should live the way we do and if they dont like it they should go home. No one asks these people to come here so if they dont like things they should stop moaning and go home.
Each generation when it gets to late teens early twenties rebels againt the authorities. Thats what you guys are doing. Grow up, talk sense and chill out. Planes crashed. Buildings fell. People died.
