what reason could you possibly have for thinking that its a bad idea?
the owner gets the money he wants for the car, and the winner gets a sweet gt for £50!
the lads that miss out took a chance with £50 that they probably would piss up against a wall on a night out anyway!
sounds like a great idea to me and the possible gains are definitely worth £50!!
i think keep it to tgtt members and just do it, feck all the legal crap.
as said above, count me in!

you can have a raffle for commercial gain you just need

Lottery license for your needs, he needs to phone
His local council and they will advise him.

still thinking about this.

some one suggested a meet, whats your ideas? 120 people with £50 each, all the names put in a hat and the first name out gets the car!

sounds like a plan :) i know there are legal issues, but if its kept to us lads on here, we'll organise a meet and could pay on the day, draw the name out of the hat, but i'd suggest draw every name out of the hat, the last one left in is the winner, that way everyone knows they were in and it was kept legit!
the lads that were there on the day would know the story, that you're paying 50 for the chance to win, so no crying about it after when you don't win!

Great Idea, count me in, I reckon get a list going with names of people that would definitely be up for it. IMO it's going to take a while to get 120 people though.

for £50 i would deffo buy a ticket, with a chance of getting a lovely GT!!

very good idea this mate, with recording (maybe live?) the draw etc would be a good idea, im in!

Maybe it would be good to start a list of people who would be genuinely interested in putting £50 into it. BUT only put your name on if you are serious. That way you can sort of see who would put money in and how many would do it. Surely it make no difference if 1 person bought 3 tickets or 4. As long at the total funds are raised it makes no bearing i think.

i would put in,

i find it strange tho, that your chancing £50, with a car which is kinda like yours, and your struggling to shift yours. altho i know, its only £50, and well worth a gamble.

Now the car is priced at £5500. its 110 tickets.

i reckon you would get the first 50 or so tickets quite quickly, and then after that, without going outside this club, it might take that little bit longer to start ammassing the sales.

totally agree with you jamie (scot-ish) all id add to that is the draw should be done by some1 well known on here who doesnt have a raffle ticket! great idea tho ive thought about this before but there are too many complications
