No, not necessarily, because if he's keeping the system topped up like we had to we never saw temps over 90 degrees EVER on my cooling system.
and Sam.... wats your opinions, comments on the pictures?
ben to see the pics of the gasket cut like that is very surprising indeed.after seeing that i would automatically assue bad overheating issues but as u said ur car didnt overheat so i will go by that...headgaskets are mass produced at 100's a time and maybe a few are slipped aside as being bad but in no way i can know this before i sell them to a customer..remember i do not make these but simply try to supply a quality product to the best of my knowledge and for a manufacturing company who produce these i cannot comment becuz i am not there to witnessed quality control..i will tell you they are made in california by a well known racing company in the USA. i am not allowed to give the name via a public forum and i hope u all understand this...
i would certainly blame the headgasket material and quality if all that were used were damaged but as u can see there are alot of them running high boost with no problem, so maybe the posibility of tuning, bad material, overheating, and a number of other factors which can play the role of it being damaged..
before it was produced i had a few samples which i tested on my race car and my cousin's race car...him a 4efte glanza and me a 5efte ep82....i have a gt28rs which ran 18 psi if i can rem correctly and he had a tdo4l or gt28r at the time...our climate is very hot at 80-90 degree f all yr long and we ran out standard radiator becuz we made manifolds to suit the stock rad.....these cars ran circuit and drag..mine the drag ..cousins the circuit car....after the results of them i had no reason to doubt the quality of the gasket....
this is all the info i can give on what i know..
